Like someone else said, I kind of just don't like it in general when they have a special guest, because it feels really boring without Brad, Vinny, Jeff, Ryan, or Patrick. Some of the guests fit right in like Dave, Will, and Drew. I'm not going to name names, but some of them have just been a bit boring or annoying. The exception is when it's an E3 Bombcast because it's fun to hear those hilarious stories.
Guests can really kill the mood because they aren't as in-sync as far as their sense of humor is concerned so that's my pick. The second worst is when they have to end a hilarious tangent of jokes because they need to move on, and the third worst is when they drone on endlessly about a game I don't care about (not that it happens often at all).
At first I was like "wha? why don't people like guest appearances? those are really cool" and then I remember the E3 podcasts. Such a mess for my feeble mind to handle. So many people talking at the same time.
It's nice to get some industry insight and hear these people talk, just not everyone at the same time. I picked the E-shop readings though because that segment has been done and it's time to move on.
I voted for "guest" but there's one specific "guest" I have in mind. This person isn't really a guest, but his appearances on the Bombcast are thankfully rare.
When Brad talks about pixel densities, artifacting, and how the original Toy Story is unwatchable because its visuals are dated. He's just a graphics whore and it is annoying.
Patrick can get annoying when he interrupts people or tries to talk over them. Also, what's with him repeating what another dude said but takes twice as long to say it?
So, guest appearances. I mean even this week, being a Will Smith fan, I'm not looking forward to him being on the Bombcast. It's perfect the way it is with the regular crew.
The absolute worst scenario is when Vinny or Jeff's place on the Bombcast is being taken up by a guest. Urgh.
its properly better to ask what is the best part. since none of the things you list are bad granted i diddent really like the NDX all of the time but it was not bad most of it was good.
The only thing I've ever disliked was when the GB crew talk about music genres that they know nothing about because they never admit their lack of knowledge and instead act as though they know everything. Not specific to them, it seems to be a bit of an American thing.
Falty DL is probably the only american who knows what actual Dubstep is... the rest just think they know.
Usually a guest throws everything off for me unless the guest is someone the staff has a good chemestry with like Will Smith, Adam Boyes, and Jonny V. I could listen to V's stories forever.
