there should be a forums segment on the bombcast

This site is already built so much with community in mind, that getting the community involved with the bombcast with something along the lines of favorite threads of the week would be really cool.  I doubt I am the first person to suggest this and I am pretty sure you have already considered it, but I still think it would be cool to do.

If they pulled the reader questions from this forum instead of an email address it would make good conversation as well.

I think that's a good idea, 1up used to do that when John Davison still worked there.

I'm sure forum topics will get integrated into the show sometime in the near future now that the site is semi-up-and-running. It only makes sense that they use the forums to build a loyal community.

Pretty good idea, assuming they clean up the forums so they can fin good threads to talk about

I was thinking about this earlier. 1UP does a really good community segment in their podcasts and I'm sure Giant Bomb could as well.

Yeah, I think that'll work.

They could say "And this week we take a question from the........MIYAMOTO PAGE!"


and then they take one from there

They could use this forum for questions for the show or whatever. The way this site is built, they have a lot of options for community integration into the Bombcast.

I think more people would be interested in the Bombcast crew discussing hot topics on the forums for their opinion/jokes about it than hearing someone call in and ask potentially very boring questions.

Just have them use our community IRC.
