First Appearance

The "First Appearance" field in the "Concept details" table is one of the coolest things about this wiki - you get to see which game first used an idea! However, it just lists the earliest game attached to the Concept. Nowadays, games are often updated after the fact to include certain Concepts they didn't have before, maybe even taken from games which were released later. This means the listed First Appearance for a Concept might be incorrect!

I was wondering if this has been thought about before or discussed or if it's a small enough edge case that it doesn't really matter.

@eccentrix: It's an edge case I think, but not much we can really do about it.

It's kinda like how that Smash Additions bot that pulls our data says Bowser first appeared in F1 Race. This is because the Game Boy version of F1 race has Mario characters in it, but the original version (which didn't) was released before Super Mario Bros.

We don't have a way to manually change what's in those First Appearance fields.
