2000s game name!

I used to play this game in the 2000s that i cannot remember the name of and i have been trying to figure it out for the longest. The game was kinda jinkity and would always crash from what i remember. You could create a character (it was either a robot or creature/animal of some kind i think.) the character could be a variety of different colors. I remember that mine was pink. You went around and talked to other characters that were just standing there and solved missions. The background was in like a valley type thing and i think it was in a bird's eye view. It might have come on a disk and it might have been an educational one. I know this is a vague description but if anyone could help me out my brain would surely appreciate it.
