Yeah, looks like Johnny Mnemonic. VR shenanigans with only future talk allowed. Do they still have access to a green screen? God, watching someone look silly while in VR while some dumb green screen shit is going on in the background is something I just realized I need in my life.

Looks like that's when the Oculus is out, so I'd guess it's that.

Definitely looks like VR, but the SFV March update is hitting the 28th, too. That wouldn't surprise me.

I'm way more excited about potential GB VR shenanigans than I would admit to anybody but you duders. Something tells me it's going to be more GIF/Photoshop material than we usually get in a whole year.

@theht: I believe they just got a new green screen. I think Jason mentioned something about setting one up, but I could be imagining that.

I suspect they'll be doing a VR release day livestream like they did when the xbox one and ps4 came out.

A VR stream that turned into a Street Fighter V stream would be the best case scenario imo.

Giantbomb announces it has partnered with Oculus to provide exclusive nightmare fuel for VR. Giantbomb will withdraw from the internet to focus on the cutting edge of VR shows.

@theht: If I remember correctly, Jason talked about getting the green screen working for VR stuff on the podcast, so there will be VR green screen shenanigans.

While I'd assume this would be a West Coast thing due to Jason's green screen shenanigans and Jeff getting one on launch from Kickstarter, isn't that really early for a stream? It says 9:00 for me in Wisconsin so wouldn't that make it like 7:00 there? I know they've done super early streams for game launches due to servers but I don't think they would gain anything extra for getting in early for a hardware launch like Oculus.

seeing as the image is from Johnny Mnemonic (one of my favourite good bad science fiction movies featuring Ice-T) obviously they are going to get memmory upgrades installed in their brains and delete all their childhood memories in the process. Either that or they're hacking their own brains via US Navy trained hacker dolphins while laser garotte wielding jakuza thugs try to get their hands on the data they're transporting. Oh and maybe Henry Rowlings will show up to try to cure some cyber disease.

I'm very excited about this. Possibly more so than I am for VR this year (purely as I can't really afford to make the jump right now).

It'll be really interesting to see how VR video content works. Even watching the Golem video I started to feel a little uneasy due to the excessive 'camera' movement.

Definitely looking forward to this but the crew being awake and running at 7 AM sounds crazy to me! I know I won't be around for the start.

I'm getting really excited by this. I've realised that I don't give a shit about playing VR games, but I'm definitely interested in observing the beginnings of our cyberpunk dystopia.

I think my timing thing on the website is a bit bugged, so how many hours until the stream starts?
