Like the title says :) I've tried a few things in the past but not recently and am determined to get back into streaming games. Obviously, the new consoles will have Twitch support built in but I have an Xbox 360, PS3 and a library of old games I am not getting rid of anytime soon.

Suggestions for PC and Mac would be welcome.

Unless you can be satisfied by what Hauppauge Capture can give you, there is only OBS Project. Xsplit is poop. Even when you pay for it, it is poop.

I've had personal licence for Xsplit for a long time and have never had any problems with it, I'd recommend it

Thanks for the suggestions. If Hauppauge Capture hooks into Twitch directly, that would be perfect. Otherwise I'll give OBS Project a try.

What does "streaming via..." mean? Do you want to send a stream into the input of the capture card or do you want to send whatever is on the computer out to Twitch?

@extomar: I want to stream games from my console to Twitch. My computer doesn't have a capture card hence the Hauppauge HD PVR.
