Deadspace is what Doom3 should of been.

The level concept was original and kept to the old ways. Health generation kept to the old ways (the better way). There were logical ways of the monsters come at (scare) you rather then being put into stupid wtf not even rats can get to those spots or the best just appearing out of nowhere. Simple easy intro story line. Id say more about the storyline but im just into ch9. The way i look at it deadspace to me is my "doom3". Maybe im dwelling on how disappointing doom3 was and just really really enjoying deadspace.

I am surprised that people are still whining about Doom 3 like 6 years later. Give it a rest, the game was good.

After I modded the hell out of it I had a blast with D3.

I dunno because ive never really played that much DOOM but to me it felt more like a successor to System Shock 2.

Doom 3 was a fantastic game, and people need to get off the "cool to hate" train with it.

Should I of played Doom 3? Hard to find it these days.

I totally agree. 
When it comes to atmosphere, horror and tense filling of dread and weird shit going on (I would actually like if there were more of those in Deadspace- like decaying face in the bathroom mirror in DOOM 3). 
But yeah, now that you mention it, definitely. If you don't compare it face to face as a 3rd person survivor horror and an FPS of course, like some people here do. 
 
P.S. Didn't like Doom 3 too much actually, exact same gameplay as the first 2 but with better graphics- didn't like Quake 4 for the same reason.
