Wasn't it revealed that Microsoft was also giving user information to the NSA?

Shouldn't the use of that logo represent trademark infringement or something?

Anyway, this isn't clever enough to be funny even if it were an independent source producing the merchandise.

That said, I know some people who are totally obsessed with this issue (and specifically regarding Google) so there probably is a market for it.

Dear Kettle,

You are black.

Love, Pot.

@veektarius: Easily passes a 'for purposes of satire or discussion' test.

While I don't like what Microsoft did, in the end it the blames lies with the US government and its self-proclaimed right to do whatever it wants in the name of national security. Snowden is a hero and should have been celebrated by the American people for his act of selflessness for the sake of democracy.

At least Microsoft isn't run by what seems more like a sect than a company.

Thats right NSA, I know you are listening, well... reading...

No they're listening, using the Google Chrome or Mac dictation function.

As far as scroogled goes it seems super dumb.

Damn...sold out!

I would just walk around my office in the morning, look to see if people are using Chrome, then tap on my mug till they turned around to face me. I would then stand silently as if to tell them that I am a superior human who doesn't take lightly to a unwelcome scroogling, point to the mug, and shake my head as I walk away.

Not sure what Scroogled is, but scroogle used to be a way to search the web without being tracked by Google. A statement that just because you have the ability to track and save user data doesn't mean you have the right to do so. It was a way to try to convince them to do the right thing. I'm certainly not completely against surveillance, there are certainly bad guys out there, but it is a thing that is easily abused if you don't set any limits.

Google wants to be in possession of every scrap of data it can gets greedy hands on, while their intentions might not be bad, I just don't think it is good for one entity to have that kind of power such control could lead to. These guys seriously wants to create an AI, in fact that was the reason they created a search provider in the first place. Seriously. They just don't sound like the most stable of people.

It's different though. Companies are forced to give information to the NSA. Google was just driving around in a van capturing network packets out of the air.
