Favourite "OMG" moments in games

I had a lot of OMG moments playing RE:4 late at night with friends. Good times.

When I beat Ganondorf in Ocarina of Time and suddenly he turned into a 10-foot monstrous pig with two gigantic blades that throw the Master Sword off my hand. And then I was circled by fire and dark clouds surrounded the sky.

Oh snap!

For me it was the scene in FF8 where balab garden was invaded

My personal favourite remains to this day the HL2:Ep2 moment where there are two mine shafts on either side of you, and you see an Antlion guardian break one of them.
Then you hear a crash, turn around, and see another.

Goddamn Dark Aeons appearing in unsuspecting places.

Surviving being baked in Portal is one. When you get that sense you're out of the controlled area of the world and feel as if you're rebelling against them...that's an OMG moment.

When I had to fight the hunter for the first time in HL2 Episode Two

after finishing silent hill 2 and achieving In Water ending .

Latest one is the UNCHARTED SPOILERS....

Agreed, that was more of a "WTF!?" moment for me.. :P

in KOTOR when malak goes "YOU are darth revan" and it's like 0_o... :O:O:O:O:O:O:O:O:O:O:O

and in bioshock... the obvious :P

and in halo 2 when you get the index and tartarus pushes you down after saying "fool... they ORDERED me to do it" then after a few seconds you suddenly understand and it's like OMG. and when you meet gravemind in halo 2.

and in halo 3 the cutscene at the end of the storm level
and halo 3 again when keyes dies

and in resident evil 4 at the very end when ada steals the thing off you it just reminded you how huge and evil umbrella is and how could you possibly be thinking they weren't involved

fisting a bomb into the t-rex's eye at the end of turok was pretty epic.

The microwave scene in MGS4 was like, Solid Eye exploding. (very bad pun intended)

When Aeris gets a back full of Sephiroth's sword. Me and my brother freaked out lol. That was amazing.

In Half-life 2 when your on the airboat and the smoke stack starts to come down on you.  I was like HOLLY SHIT I AM GOING TO DIE!!!

The end of Half-life 2  and the end of Half-life 2 ep2

RE:4 the first time the tentacla poped out of the villagers head

In Doom when your in the courtyard and all the walls lower to reveal 100 demons

The KOTOR Darth Reven reveal.

Bioshock -  "Would you kindly" Andrew Ryan part

Yeah, HL2 had a lot of OMG moments.

First time climbing to a vista in Assassins Creed

Helicopter going down in CoD4

AvP the game

Being able to actually do stuff my way in Far Cry

All of Escape from Butcher Bay

GTA Vice City.
A chopper, a beautiful sunset, and She Sells Sanctuary.

Me and my two buds were caught deep in a shared, unplanned, unexpected, silent state of awe. To this day I hold great pride in being the man behind the controls when this happened for us :P

Also, the Andrew Ryan scene in BioShock was very memorable.

Most of them are from Silent Hill 2.

I played it with friends. When the first half-zombie came out from under a car, we all flipped. And then the first scene with Pyramid Head banging the mannequins... Wow. The whole room screamed "WHAT THE FUCK?!?" at the same time. :)

The end of HL2 Ep2 left me speechless for a while and in CoD4 when the guy you've been playing half the game dies. That was more of a WTF moment though.

1. After playing Link to the Past for the first time and reading a flier for Toys'R'Us and seeing a 3D N64 Zelda ad. (I wasn't really into keeping up with gaming news back then so you can imagine my shock and surprise.)
2.Helicopter crash in CoD4. I was literally screaming "Go, go go!" at my TV screen while I watched that plume of smoke and waves of force heading for the copter.
3. "Would you kindly?"
4. KOTOR plot twist
5. First time I saw Gears of War (graphics wise)

Playing Halo on live and being gunned down as soon as i stood up.

when i saw what the underground part of isolation looked like and the isolation part of campaign on Halo

it looks like a vadge

1. The first Soviet missions in the original Call of Duty.

2. Playing TES: Oblivion for the first time.

3. The ending of Call of Duty 4.

4. All of the Metal Gear Solid games.

One of the last ones I can think of is when I beat "Mile High Club" on Veteran, in Call of Duty 4. I could not believe it.

"End of HL2:E2. My jaw hit the floor. And I sobbed."

Yeah, the ending of HLep2, was a huge "NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!" moment.
