Do you not think it would be a great idea to make a ("skate", by EA BlackBox controlled) freerunning/ parkour game which the controls were similar to skate 3 or any previous versions

That might be odd, what would make people want to play it?

@Still_I_Cry:

Although it would be a niche market maybe, it could probably be pretty cool if done correctly. If nothing else EA could use the tech in other games like they did with the animations for BF3.

EDIT: Not to mention that at least some of AC's appeal is the parkour-esque movement system.

I could see it working as a racing type game in a more or less open map. Kind of like how the original Driver worked in the sense that you were given a start point and a destination and the rest was on you. Legit parkour is every bit as exciting to watch as skateboarding or any other "extreme" sport, so I think it could be done. The trick would be coming up with a control scheme that leaves room for you to be inventive but also gives you the ability to add flips and other flourishes to your runs for the purposes of point multipliers. I suppose the hook could be that you're a courier in a big city and you've gotta deliver packages as fast as possible. Something like that.

Anyway, yea, I would love it if someone could come up with a way to do it that doesn't feel overly scripted.
