Halo is overrated by the media, underrated by "hardcore" gamers

Actually, Black Ops takes quite a bit of skill. It's the most balanced COD game of them all. The poor map design ruins the flow of the multi-player however. "

Shit like this is why I hate Halo. People need to shut the fuck up either way. You like it? Play it. You don't like it? Don't play it. Either way, shut the fuck up about it. Haters gonna hate and fanboys gonna fan.

I don't discredit anything that Halo has done for online gaming but I just think it's not a very good game. I think the story is weaksauce and I'm tired of the same 'elite space marine' crap and you can nitpick and say he's a Spartan super-solider but it's the same crap and still not interesting.

Halo combat is just damn fun, and it's just a style of FPS that doesn't click with everyone.   For twitch action, I got Quake Live.  For large scale team games, there's Bad Company 2.  For awesomely fun, tactical shootouts I'll always have my Halo.

Played my first game of Halo last week, and to be honest I'm rather indifferent. I'm just not seeing what everyone else is I guess, It's not bad, but not great, it's amazingly by-the-numbers average.
