@glots: Haha! Thanks! I'll say this, I know of some pretty cool stuff some of those people are working on, but I'm not sure THAT is one of them. Though, they would love to I'm sure. :)
OH! I almost forgot! You guys know I have that interview show, well I'm working on some big things soon and you can bet I'll be asking for fan questions from you soon! :)
@oodli: I did take the professional route too and submitted a proper application to the CBSI jobs website, and a cover letter explaining my strengths and weaknesses. I realize this is a powerballs shot in Hell, but you fail 100% of the times you don't try! :)
I am constantly so grateful for everyone's kind words. Giantbomb has been such a safespace for me for so long. This is by far the best community on Earth. How could I not want to integrate myself as much as possible here? :)
Lol I love that the Contradiction folks are so willing to do this. Good luck, man. The competition's tough, but I enjoy your interviews and hope you get a shot at it.
@xgumby: Well, no. No announcement yet. I guess I jumped the gun a little. I just started to think I may have heard something in regards to an interview if it were happening by now, lol. I've probably been watching my email too closely since applying. I guess it's still a possibility :)
I dont know when you actually applied but 4 days is nothin. Even like...3 weeks is nothin especially for a company like CBS. The job posting is still up which i think counts for something. I bet the initial HR process is slow. I bet the phone interview scheduling process is slow. Same with in person interviews...even more so considering people may be coming in from all over the place. The job listing is still up. Who knows how the process is actually going down. Maybe theyre selecting a bunch of possible candidates,closing the listing,then calling them all. There are a lot of unknowns.
It's hard for me to imagine someone who put in this much effort not getting at least a call. But what do i know. Hold out hope, but don't let it control you.
Yeah, don't think about it too hard until the decision is certain. They're busy guys, and I don't think they've said anything about when they're aiming to have a new hire on.
@xgumby: Both your previous posts are incredibly helpful to me. Thanks for that! I definitely will be ecstatic if I get a call, but won't worry about it too much :)
Quick side note, if anyone wants to chat with Anarosa aka Emma from contradiction, she hosts a radio show in Barcelona City FM. It's an English speaking radio show in Barcelona. She always does Periscopes of the show. Pretty cool to chill to if you're up that late.
And so as the weeks pass, it appears that I won't be getting the call. Shame, I live fairly close to the New York office and would have also shipped myself out to L.A. :) I still have a really grand scheme to officially challenge Dan Ryckert to a 2 outta 3 falls match in Soul Calibur. He would fall to my feet, lol.
