I'm Calling It: I Love Mondays Is Done

I Love Mondays has been on life support for the past few months, with every entry worse than the last. What was once a highly edited, informative bit of content turned into a cobbled together mess that barely came out on Mondays. Now, after weeks without an entry, I think it's safe to say I Love Mondays is deader than Elvis. Cause of death has not yet been determined. My best guess is laziness.

I seriously hope not. Where else will I get to know what to expect from the site?

Man, I really do miss that bomb blowing up on Vinny's face...

Yup. I don't hold it against them, I thought it was a fantastic feature but if they don't want to do it they don't have to. At least they didn't split the bombcast, god I can just imagine how horrible that would've been if that actually went through.

So they just stop doing it, nothing instead of it? They did that with WU-TANG, too. Not the best way, imho.
And I liked ILM.

Ok, they can do ILM in the new style, BUT with the turkey intro. I think that would be perfect.

Meh, it always seemed from the start to be a half assed way to interact with the users with the user videos. It did nothing a simple text article couldn't have done. I only started watching them again once they started to change them up. I say bring back Wu-Tang or create something worth while.    

I came to this same conclusion a while ago.

I enjoyed the cobbled together ones. They are funnier. The only thing I mind is no video at all.

Exactly, and we've gained quite a bit of features if we compare the loss to gain.

Maybe it's going down so that they can establish a new feature.

So anything that takes an amount of editing is gone from the site now? WU-TANG is gone forever most likely and ILM too

Well atleast we get the occasional video review

Still a bummer because the editing is mostly so well done with Whiskey Media videos

Question of the week is still good though? Right??? Right guys?!?!? They said it was coming back! THEY SAID!!!!

I dunno if it's laziness more than them having more shit to do. There's a lot more cross site stuff and live shows not to mention still getting quick looks done. I Love Mondays may be short but someone still has to set up the script and set, film it, and splice in other clips while they could be working on the actual content they'd be talking about doing.

Don't get me wrong though, I love I Love Mondays too.

The death of the QOTW lead to the demise of ILM. I hope you QOTW haters are happy. >:(

I just think that they ran out of video game movies to do those on, I'm sure we'll see more when people make more shitty video game movies.

in place of i love Mondays a community driven weird game related video of the week would be good
I always enjoy matt's random videos on screened and I would like to see a game verson of 10mins of Ninjers & Their Ninjutsu

As long as they replace it with something in text I'm cool.  It was easily the video feature I cared the least about.  I didn't want to watch a video to find out what was on TNT.  I just want to take 10 seconds and read it.  They can keep making them, just give me a list to read.

Patrick's joined the crew though. That was pretty huuuuge. Besides Drew early on, he's the only addition to the GB staff since launch.

It's weird how the bigger and more popular the site gets, the less variety there is; theres pretty much just Quick Looks with the occasional Quick Look variant. There's still the bombcast (to which they still haven't official begun the ''new season'' art/theme yet), and TNT's stand strong even through the constant struggles they find themselves in. There's also the Happy Hour, but that's a collective feature - with GB as the primary hosts. 

I would be happy with just some text, or a tweet from one of the guys about what's coming up.

Yes, someone should. We were promised a new "season" of the Bombcast a while ago. What the heck's going on?
