I mean, this seems to be a challenge. The only modern tank game with good graphics that I can think of is world of tanks, but that’s not single player. Going back to older stuff, my first instinct is Stellar 7, but that’s not good graphics, it wireframe because it’s ancient.
Maybe if you go with a technicality, company of heroes 3 have good graphics, single player and tanks are involved, though I’d not T really call it a “tank game.” I mean, Wasteland 3 is an tactical RPG in the vein of OG Fallout that has a tank you can control, that might count. Same for the first Valkyia Chronicles, there is a tank in that.
But a pure “tank game” with great graphics and single player focused might be a genre that I’m surprised is rather under-developed. Tanks are more a flavoring for other things as opposed to the main course of a game.
Iron Tank for the NES by SNK and Assault which is an arcade game by Namco. Yes, technically, both games are old, but they had high quality graphics for their time. The thing with Assault, however, is that the original arcade cabinet had genuine tank controls as the controller to move the tank and its very hard to emulate on modern controllers.
