Looking for a site

Is there a website where users make lists of video games, rate them, and the ratings are all aggregated into a large overall best games list? Similar to Rateyourmusic? I've been trying to look for one to see what users consider are the best games. I won't be leaving Giantbomb, and I hope this is not considered a kind of unfriendly or unwanted post of any kind. I'm checking out multiple game websites. I would like to know if one like that exists.

No Metacritc, since they don't inlude every game and they just pick and choose.

No Gamerankings, because they don't even have user accounts. That's far from what I'm looking for. THe site must be about user rankings, like Rateyourmusic.

Nooo! Metacritic doesn't have a wiki that allows any game to be included. I think they just choose games to rate instead of allowing them all in the database. Besides, I'm looking for one specifically in video games.

I'm also partial to www.gamerankings.com

Don't know why, I don't think they've updated the look of this site in like 10 years but I still like to use it when I'm digging for early reviews.

So, does anybody have any ideas?

There is a site like that where users create a list and they're all aggregated together into one big list. Unfortunately, I'm struggling to remember the name of it.

You sure it's safe? Google Safe Browsing hardly has any data.

As a long time user of Favslist I can say it's definitely safe and legit. The community is nice and you can even rank other things besides games.

The only problem is that it's database is mainly created by the users which means that there's a lot of things you'll have to create the page to rank, although that's not really a problem for gaming, since it uses the Unikgamer.com database, which is pretty complete. I'd say give it a check, at least.

So I just created an account on FavsList and not only is the password entry field on account creation unencrypted, but they send you your password to your email in plain text, too.

Never has a better case been made for not using the same password across multiple sites.

@f-metroid: An external account? I'm not even sure what you mean by that. If you mean an email address, then yes...it would be unusual if it didn't, wouldn't it?

I meant Twitter, FB, Myspace, etc. Anyway, I was able to figure it out. Does the site carry custom charts? And is there a cap on the amount of video games a list can have?

OK, strange things were going on in my computer after going. I'm not going back there for now. Plus, that wasn't much like I wanted. I can't comment on my lists, some remakes may not be allowed there, and the site only allows 25 items at max.

One like Rateyourmusic. That's what I'm looking for.

I don't have a site in mind but funny enough once a year one of the users aggregates everyone's GOTY lists on GB, which is a similar result to what you want.

Where is this list? May I see it?

Honestly, based on how specific your requirements are for what you want, you're probably just going to have to build the site yourself.

For the record, you can comment on your lists I think using the "explain you choices" field at the bottom of the page where you make your list. Aside from that, you can post an opinion on a game and it will show up on any list where you rank that particular game.

Also, you can go more than 25, using honorable mentions which are displayed on your profile as 26th place and onwards. There might be a max of 25 honorable mentions (not 100% sure) in which case the max is 50.

Still, strange things happened on my computer. I don't entirely trust it.
