Current Gaming Baseline Games
Which three games do you currently keep on going back to? Even if there's other stuff on your plate or between new releases. Which 3 games currently define your videogame hobby? These are your gaming baseline.
I only have 2 that I keep going back to and its blops and meat boy. I'm playing through SOTN now and i'll definitely go back and do everything sick game.
I currently play World of Warcraft. Quite casually. Doing a couple of evenings a week of 10man dungeon raiding. I always go back to Battlefield for a couple of hours. Every one or two weeks a lengthy session is a certainty. I am very much in love with Need for Speed : Hot Pursuit. Doing a session of it every now and then. Pure joy. Everytime.
WoW : Cataclysm
Battlefield : Bad Company 2 & Vietnam
Need for Speed : Hot Pursuit
Super Street Fighter IV, Black Ops, and Little Big Planet 2.
I'd say WoW, too, but I have really played that for a week or two now and don't really have any desire to. >.>
Gran Turismo V
Super Street Fighter IV
World of Warcraft
(also Starcraft II, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, Civilization V, Rock Band 3)
I play the occasional TF 2, Day of defeat: source and Counterstrike Source game now and then. I have also just recently dug into some Oblivion again, haven't played it since 2006. Already spent a few weekends on it doing sidequests and exploring, I only finished the main quest line with a level 11 character from what I remember and didn't touch it since 2006. I am pretty sure I am going to go back to Oblivion quite a bit now in between new releases.
CS
Rock Band
Micro Machines
I don't go back to single player games very often. The magic tends to vanish. I suppose MAYBE Burnout Paradise.
Saint's Row 2, AC: Brotherhood, and NHL 11. I've got Deadly Premonition coming next week though, so that'll probably kick Brotherhood off the list.
Demon's Souls. ...Demon's Souls. ...and Demon's Souls.
It's like an abusive spouse. It kicks my ass but I love it.
Bad Company 2 / BC2 Vietnam
CODBLOPS
Halo 3
The games I "go back to" are ones with excellent multi-player components, and usually are shooters, so that list isn't all that surprising.
It used to just be CS/CSS, but I quit after the competitive scene went to shit: Pubbing and Pugging lost their glean after years of competitive play.
