Polls for non-"Main Boards" forums: Are they bugged, taken out...

... or were they never there?
 
I rarely make threads for boards other than General Discussion... so I don't remember how it usually is.  I was going to make a thread on a non-"Main Boards" forum and saw that you couldn't make a poll.  Is this a bug, or is there a reason why we can't make polls for games, objects, concepts, etc.

It's either a bug or something they took out, because before the big update you could make polls anywhere.

I found a work-around:

1. Start a new topic from the desired Specific Page
2. Click on the link that asks you if you want to post on one of the main boards
3. Click on the button to make a poll
4. Change back to the desired Specific Page by clicking on the link again
