Ryan Davis says we have about 2500 subs, halfway there.

I'll sign up for the year once my account info gets restored but that will probably be long after the deadline :(

I'm a college student with $100 in my bank account. The subscription fee put a big dent in my budget, but for the cool features, T-Shirt and supporting the site it's worth it. I also subscribe because I realize their are others out their upset about the change who can't afford it or can't do it for another reason. For those who just won't do it out of spite, I have zero sympathy.

I love Giantbomb , and i listen to every podcast but i would never subscribe, not since one of the mods banned me.....said i was banned for 2 weeks , turns out it was forever, so i havent been able to post in 6 monhts. Now with this subscription thing the bans are gone.

So by subscribing you are getting a T-shirt, and hd videos? Sounds lame. I mean, after there are 5,000 subscribers (which there will be), everyone will get the Podcast, so it's not like you are subscribing and getting anything beyond the satisfaction of having supported Whiskey Media. That's totally fine though, just don't rationalize it like you are getting a great deal by getting a ton of priceless stuff.

Going to do my best to sign up for a monthly subscription before 10 a.m. their time. I really wish we could hit 5,000 subscribers before then but I don't think it's going to happen.

They have been entertaining me since the gamespot days, so giving them $50 for all those countless hours was a no brainer. Actually $60 with shipping, why can't they just teleport the shirt to me yoga style?

I'll just say thanks to everyone subbing now.  If XBL isn't worth 50-60, you can be damn sure GB isn't.  Maybe if Whitta joins the Bombcast permanently.

Showing some Reservation love to Whiskey Media and just signed up for a yearly sub.  Now they can buy some porno and illegal fireworks.

We need more time. Even if I had the money, it takes 24 hours for deposits to go through at my bank. It's literally impossible for me to make the deadline, and I"m sure it's the same for many others.  
 
They haven't even advertised the memberships anywhere on the front page(the Live show could mean anything to people just clicking around) and Twitter is the only place they've mentioned this 5,000 subscriber deal in concrete text-form. The awareness levels for the memberships just aren't high enough to reach this goal soon enough. =(

Does anyone have some information on the Friday Live content? I want to justify it but I don't have a good phone, I don't care about ads, I don't really want the shirt, and HD video is alright but I don't care that much. I need more than just getting the bombcast early.
 
I'm also wondering how archiving will work for the Friday Live content. Will they start archiving on their servers so they can restrict access, will they not archive it at all, or will everyone get it eventually?

 I have to wonder, when did they announce the price of the subscription and when they will start it? Because I'm beginning to think that a lot of people didn't have time to put together $50. Hell my bank account is showing $0, so even if I wanted to subscribe, I can't.  
 
My point is that maybe they should extend the time given to us to reach 5000 subscribers.

I refuse to be strong-armed into a subscription like this.  It's sleazy.

Add one more to the sub list...  I don't really know why I subscribed because I don't use the forums at all...  Just watch quicklooks and listen to the bombcast pretty much...  Don't use any of the other Whiskey Media sites...  Oh well, you can thank alcohol for my subscription. :)
