How about a G1 app as well? Fuck the iPhone. Seriously just make a better mobile site that all mobile devices can take advantage of and make the videos viewable via mobile as well. just use what ever video format Pornhub uses cause that works on my G1. You know you could just have those tiny ads that pop up on the button of videos like youtube does. Those dont bother me since you can easily close them or they go away after a few secs anyway.

I'd pay for an iPod Touch version of the site.  I look at the site more than I'd like to admit while I'm on the shitter :D  The best thing you could do for the app is not name it iBomb or something like that, I hate that everything has to have i before the name.  It makes me sad.

If this is successful, is it possible that an app for the the DSi's Opera browser could be developed? I don't know the limits of the browser, so my input here is pretty much coming out of my ass, but I think using a video game console to access a video game website is (conceptually) a pretty cool idea.

Now if only some one would get me a good iphone...

So could someone please fix the UK part of the New Releases page. The all releases tab doesn't show anything but if you go to a specific console then the game come up.

I would definitely pay for an iPhone app when I get an iPhone in the summer but eventually I would really love to see mobile forums. I love the PM upgrade!

As long as it has a good amount of features in it and is not toooo expensive, I would love a Giant Bomb app for my iPhone.

I' ok with paying for it, I'd feel better if I did pay for it, makes me feel like I'm donating, haha. Yeah, don't become IGN, a few ads are ok, but not massive amounts, having to pay for something like an app is ok, but not for actual site features.

As for a iPhone app, I will pay...anything. Just give me a sampling and I will gobble it up. I am disappointed to see that there is no community section of it yet, but I will support this first version if it means a better one is on the way.

Awesome stuff.  I don't have an iPhone myself, the app sounds really cool.  I personally wouldn't mind a few ads on the site.  They at least let me know that you guys aren't homeless and starving to death.

I mostly use the site for the forums. Beside the fact that I don't have an iPhone, I would have little use for the wiki & review features on the move. For someone like me, a forum app that makes using the GB forums a doddle on the iPhone would be what I want. If they could somehow be in real-time for topics you are part of that would be even better. I would def pay for an app that could do that.

The amount of entertainment I get from this site is well worth it. I'd even pay a small subscription fee, easily.

So basically as long as the video features work on the app I'm happy.

Keep up the good work guys, when the daily grind gets tough it's always awesome to be able to visit Giant Bomb and get a few good laughs and some insightful comments as well.

I'd be totally fine with a small fee for a giantbomb app for my phone. It  would better than trying to view the full site on my phone and that alone is worth the price of an app.

I'd gladly shell out up to 5 bucks for the Iphone app.  But that may be just me.

Like almost everyone else has said, I'd gladly pony up for a Giant Bomb app for my iPhone.  Something I'm wondering though, which I'm not sure why I'm wondering it, but are you going to do something like this: If I buy v1 of the app, give me the upgrade to v2 for free, but leave v1 on the app store for free to future people (ala a lite version to entice people to buy the full app)?  Like I said, not sure why that's in my mind because I'll pay for v1 on day one, but just thought I'd throw that out there.

I'd easily pay a couple of bucks (somewhere between $2 - $8) for a Giant Bomb. As long as I can log in and post to forums and leave comments on news stories though. I'm looking forward to it.

Nothing set in stone, but we're likely thinking about it this way...

if it costs 99 cents like alot of the apps do then i will buy it,but if it costs more than 2 or 3 bucks then no.Also u forgot to mention that you can also download Apps using the Ipod Touch. And about the adds,there are two really good models for doing it in my opinion. One is what they do on The Instance and ExtraLife Radio. And the other is on 40K Radio.

As long as the iphone app is going to allow me to watch all the videos and view all of the other great content this site has to offer, I'll pay a little fee for it. No more than 5.00 though, please??? ^_^

i love how GiantBomb always has its members in mind and actually LISTENS to them and their suggestions, unlike IGN and Gamespot who just ignore all its members and just listens to their sponsors.

I don't think most people here are against charging for stuff. We understand that you need money to run a website, and after the depressing layoffs from 1UP/EGM we're all for paying a little big of cash for some gaming news, if it means the website remaining strong.

I would certainly pay for an official Giant Bomb app.

You guys should definetly charge for the App. Personaly I would pay the full $10 for it but im like nuts. Charge whatever you guys think is fair, I'll  buy no matter what.

When designing the App, there are just a couple things you need to keep in mind.

-Customisability, it's all well and good to have an Application that can show you video content, allow you to listen to bombcasts on the fly, see pictures and reviews etc but not if the user has to wait 20 minutes for those features load up. Allowing people to choose what loads upon starting the application ensures that they have a semblance of control of how long it'll take for the content to load up.
-Push, with 3.0 firmware on the horizon, having the Push feature would be good. Being able to check a box for reviews and videos and then having the iPhone automatically notify me when a new review is posted would be awesome.
-Forum access, I personally don't post much on the forums but having access to them would be beneficial to the success of the Application due the support of the community. It would also, in my opinion, broaden the amount of
people who are active on the site.

Dunno if any of the above helps but all the best for the new Application. As long as you release it on the Australian store, you'll have the support from me. I spend so much money on crap Applications that getting a useful one
for once will be nice. Finally an Application that's released that ISN'T a Tower Defense game...
