What site is that even? Never heard of it. Also Duke Nukem is the only thing thats crap. Jeff isnt the only one who gave it low review. Eurogamer supposedly have been black listed because of its review.  
Going by numbers it is the same score MANY  gave the game..  
 
 
P.S any "Blog" that does not have open comments is one I fully ignore. Someone can not take his work being crititzed.

Reviewers are just dudes with opinions, you know? I don't think Jeff has bad writing and explanatory skills, quite the contrary, but often his opinion differs from mine, thus, making me enjoy games he really doesn't.

Eh, just trying to stir up controversy to get his five minutes of internet fame. Threads like this only give the author what they wanted in the first place.

I never understood why people get so up in arms if a reviewer doesn't like a game that they like. Things like this make me shake my head and wonder if the time spent collecting the data could've been spent better elsewhere. Like accepting that people don't all like the same things.

So anything below a 50 isn't appropriate but anything above an 85 is? a review is an opinion and for anyone to take such offense that did not in any way contribute to the making of the game should not be so offended. The game is bad, it's at best a 4 out of 10 in my book and that's just me. All the reviews that i've read have been spot on to how I felt. Maybe people expected more out of it but what they did to the core of Duke (regenerating HP and 2 weapons) was honestly just not acceptable in my mind.

The amount of people defending Duke Nukem is blowing my mind. It blows my mind even more that it's not just people who love it and think it should be critically lauded, but people that have specific score ranges in mind where any opinion that falls outside that range is garbage. It's the internet, so I suppose it comes with the territory.

LOL what a ridiculous premise for a comparison, i love the bit where he writes " Overall we would agree that the game deserves somewhere between 65% and 70% as a score" then he doesnt back this up with a source or any of his own theories. He then goes on to pan other websites for giving crappy reviews to generate hits.

I've never heard of Xentax, and I do not care about them either. They do not concern me in the slightest, because a review is something I use to get some more gameplay and other opinions, rather than base my purchase upon.

look you can tell these guys are idiots from the the description of how they choose whose crap. you can't just use the rating a reviewer gave it with out reading what the reviewer has to say about it. alot of the points they bring up about how the game isn't great echo what Jeff said. it was just his opinion that it get two stars (or 40% to 59% by their numbers) and you can understand why that is from reading his review. i'll never understand people who just go by the number ratings, i need to know where the person giving that score is coming from.
