It's E3, it sucked, I want to hear what Jeff Gerstmann has to say.

Now, I've been out of the loop for a bit, what with College and all, but I heard that Giant Bomb and Gamespot merged.

Anyway, just point me in the direction of the Gerstmann and I'll be on my merry way.

U@Track: usually at the end of every day they do a podcast where all the duders and some guests talk about what they saw, I'd wait till tomorrow and see what's up, if not check his twitter or his profile on this site.

Yes, I've already had my fix of Gerstmann in text format.

Looking for something in the moving-image department, preferably in the high-pixel range.

Tee hee.

This and the night podcasts.

But that can't be all..

Remember in '06 when Carrey Gouskous would video-interview Jeff right after the conferences to get his immediate reactions?

I need that!

Seriously, if you are that desperate then go to http://www.justin.tv/giantbomb/videos & watch the day zero podcast/live stream from last night. I think there were reactions from the conferences last year but I don't remember when they actually came out. OK, I Just checked. The video for Day 00 talking about press conferences came out on June 8th, the conferences themselves were on June 6th. So basically, judging on previous years (well, a previous year, can't be bothered looking at 2010), be patient. Drew & Vinny are incredible duders, but they are still only human beings & thus can only work so fast when they are also out on the floor filming stuff. That kind of limits editing time.

Ah see, that's kind of why I miss Old Gamespot. It was very Gerstmann-centric and that immediate-reaction video trilogy was aces.

But if Jeff is still making videos here while Gamespot have their own coverage, what does that mean about the so-called merger?

Giant Bomb is a small operation, you have to accept that fact & the limitations it brings.

Did anyone sensible believe Giantbomb was merging with Gamespot? I mean maybe in 5 years time when new people are in characge of CBSi because who knows what can happen, but not in the forseeable future. CBSi bought Giant Bomb. They are paying for the site to be redesigned. This would not be happening if they intended to merge Giant Bomb into Gamespot in the next 12 months, that would be a silly waste of money.

Haha! That's exactly what I was told 3 years ago here when I asked why there are no HD videos on the site.

Well, what about the Gamespot Gerstmann interview where he clearly said they're moving into the Gamespot offices and making room for Lucha-Deer?

@Track They moved to CBS owned building where pretty much all their offices are. And yes GS is working there too, infact at the same floor.

Lou Reed fans always make sense. It's part of the power that Lou gives us. Well gives me anyway, so long as I remember to listen to all of Berlin each morning.

Here's the archive of Alex, and Jeff on the way to E3.

Jesus Christ, Gene Simmons has his own Reality show and Jeff Gerstmann's E3 exploits are barely available to the public..

I have no idea who Lou Reed is, but this is a travesty.

There was no merging of Gamespot and Giantbomb. The CBSi name is over both, but they operate separately.

Tomorrow there will probably be some videos of the guys reacting to the floor, so I expect that'll give you your stuff. You could also look at his twitchtv account, there's plenty of him and Ryan talking on the way home from work and shit on there, if that works for ya.

he made this fun song, and more importantly he was part of awesome proto-alternative pioneering rock band The Velvet Underground

I don't know, I feel like Ryan changed a lot post-Giant Bomb. The whole dynamic over at Gamespot was more pure.. but maybe that's just me.

Truthfully, I want to see Gerstmann alone, possibly with Carrey, going about and talking to the gaming world.. just nudging himself anywhere, because he just always seems to own the crowd no matter where he is.

But I guess this isn't a 'What-would-you-wish-for' thread. So, thanks for the spot-on answers, guys.

Oh, and I still don't know who Lou Reed is.
