So where is the community list thing for GOTY?

So last year, GB had everyone create their Game of the Year lists and then, through the magic of internet statistical wizardry, crunched all those lists together to come up with the Giant Bomb community GOTY lists.

So where is it? Has this been mentioned and I missed it? Or is it still to come or not coming at all?

I would hope they are still doing it because I thought it was interesting, and gave everyone a reason to put together a list.

I'd like to hear something about this as well!

They had a thread where you could guess every staff members GOTY and thats what they did this year. Just changed things up.

I would like to see it integrated. However, if everyone has to put as much thought into their GOTY blogs as Enigma777 and PixelPrinny, this site might be better for it.

Yeah...they did it in 2009 as well. I figured that by this point they weren't doing it this year, so I just threw together a list of my own anyways. I like going through what I played the past year, trying to remember how much I enjoyed certain games, etc.

If they aren't doing it, perhaps someone with good organisation skills can organise something similar.

I wasn't even aware of the whole guessing game thing, and that's really not the same as a user-generated list.

@BeachThunder: If no official list pops up on the site by tomorrow, I volunteer to get this party started, organize all the data and whatnot.

I can't see any reason why they'd ditch this. They already have the process built that crunches the results and puts them into order, so it wouldn't require much more effort than making a post about. Everyone enjoyed it and it's another way to get the users involved.

I'd like to but I have basically no experience with html so I'd probably end up hindering the process.. >.<

It's really disappointing if there are no plans for user GOTY lists. Playing a "staff GOTY" guessing game is hardly an impressive community feature.

No one is preventing us from creating said lists. We can do them, but don't expect them to do the final community top 10. Maybe Ethan has to much to do (or is in a long vacation) to make this.

That said I'll make a thread so everyone can post a link to their 2011 GOTY list and I'll be responsible of then adding up all the data. What do you guys think about that?
