Soda Top Pulls

Does anyone think that a soda tastes different with the pop tab pulled off. My family laughs at me because it does taste different to me. Am I the only one who thinks this way?

This is the type of insanity that has to be true. So blindly I full on agree with you.

I see two possibilities, one you are getting a different amount of air with the soda, or your mouth/tongue is making more or less contact with the metal of the can. Both these seem like they could change the taste in theory.

When I was a kid the pull tabs all came off. Which way are you saying tastes better? Or they just different?
