Just wondering what kind of set-up my fellow PC gamers are currently running.
My rig:-
E8200 C2D @ 3.2Ghz
ATI 3870 512MB
4 x 1 GB Corsair XMS2
500GB WD HD
19" Samsung 1440 x 900
Corsair HX 620W
Raidmax Aztec (yellow) case
Arctic Square Heatsink
Thinking of upgrading my graphics card in a few months once some of the new cards fall in price......maybe wait and see how the 4870X2 performs.
What's in your gaming PC?
I've had my PC for over a year now
Intel E6600 @ 3.0Ghz
Asus P5B
BFG 8800GTS
2GB Geil Ultra RAM
520w PSU
Antec 900 Case
"Nothing. I'll build another when Diablo 3 comes out.:O so am i to assume that your computer is running off magic and faerie dust?

Some nice rigs posted so far.
@ Casual........good idea, hopefully Diablo 3 will live up to the previous instalments.

Windows XP Media Center Edition
Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 @ 2.13Ghz
BFG Geforce 8800GTS OC'd 320
250GB Hard Drive
2GB Ram
I'm thinking about upgrading it to Quad Core in Christmas and increasing the RAM to 3 or 4GB but I'm not sure so far I might upgrade the card instead since its starting to show its age a bit. Can't decide whether or not it is worth moving to Vista yet but I am happy with my machine and its miles better than the one I had in 2002! Piece of shit couldn't even handle water reflections on Half-Life 2! Thank god its broken and I don't have to use it again anymore!
"I recently got an 8600 GT for my PC. All IU need to get now is a good CPu. any suggestions?"It really depends on your budget......and if you have an AMD or Intel motherboard.
You can't really go wrong with a E8200/E8400 as far as gaming goes. The Q6600 is a popular Quad core and it OC's well too.
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4600+ 2.40GHz
Asus M2N-SLi Deluxe (Socket AM2) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
4GB DDR2 RAM
GeForce 9600 GT 512MB
300GB HD and a 250GB HD.
It won't max out Crysis or anything but it plays most games to a very high standard, for instance, I am playing Command and Conquer 3 on Ultra High.
E6750 Core 2 Duo @ 2.66 Ghz
nVidia 8800GT 512mb
2GB Corsair DDR2-800 Ram
730GB Hard-Drive Space
ViewSonic 22” Widescreen (1680x1050)
Windows Ultimate
AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ (3.0GHz)
4GB DDR2 RAM
Nvidia GeForce 8800 Ultra
250GB (WD) / 36GB (WDRaptor)
Windows Vista Ultimate / Max OSX / Ubuntu (Hardy)
Intel Pentium 4 640 3.2Ghz
XFX Geforce 8800GTS 320MB
2GB Kingston 533Mhz DDR2
250GB Seagate Barracuda internal + 250GB WD Passport external
FSP BlueStorm II 500W
Windows XP Pro SP2
Yes I'm aware my CPU is a bottleneck and the 8800 is there since I got it really cheap, and if I change the CPU I need to get a new motherboard aswell, and I do not feel of going trough that process. And heck it does its job, it runs Crysis...and it looks good too. :O
My PC is powered by babies in some sort of incubator thingy. That provides me with an amazing power supply also I have a hamster running on a wheel (lulz at your pathetic quad core processors).
"i've got:Hey everyone, along with system specs post pics of your pc, it'll make the thread more interesting.
