When did you first find out that Santa wasn't real? I first found out when I was 7 and I was talking to my mom about school about how this guy who thinks Santa isn't real, one thing led to another and I found out the sad truth.

I was never convinced of his existence. The concept of a fat man sliding down the chimney to give me toys never appealed to me as a child, surprisingly enough.

I don't know how old I was, but TV ruined it for me, IIRC. I'd watch sitcoms with my family and I heard a few jokes about Santa not existing. I'm sure it wasn't the first time, but when you get to be a certain age...

My mother told me in sixth grade... I cried.

5 days after my 4th birthday.. (December 24th exact.. now count 5 days back and voila. My Birthday) right around the time where my uncle started with his usual christmas stories about how Santa goes around the world in no time. 
That's when I thought to myself "That's dumb, and untrue"
And from that day I've known that he wasn't real. 
But I never say it to any of the younglings now, it's fun for them so why ruin it for the little ones, right?

Even though I learned this long ago I still have that little feeling from when I was a kid and thinking on Christmas Eve "Man hes totally coming tonight" and I can't get to sleep, AND IM 18 GUYZ LIKE SERIOUSLY OK.
