Mega Man and Zelda for me. Which is part of the reason why I'm stoked that they're doing the new Mega Man games in 8 bit. I love Capcom! And of course, every Zelda game that comes out I fall in love with because I'm so attached to the series. I learned to read with A Link to the Past. Go to school (Grade Primary), listen to the teacher talk about letters and stuff and how they work... then go home and play Zelda. Learning to pronounce and spell Sahasrahla at such a young age was a proud moment for me :P
Which franchise did you spend the most time with as a kid?
Mario was first with the original NES and then I went to Sonic because everybody knows Sega does what Nintendon't
So much of my younger days were spent diligently protecting the innocent as a Rainbow Six operative.
It was strangely one of the first video games I found myself actually completely engrossed in, especially considering my age. It kicked started a gun enthusiasm, and I've not been the same since.
I used to run around my house peeking over corners and eliminating "tangos". :)
" I'm gonna be a real man here and say probably a toss-up between Crash Bandicoot and Spyro ;) "
My number one of all time had to be Super Mario All stars, specifically Super Mario World.
Runners up would have to be Ultimate MK3 and Tombraider
" I'm gonna be a real man here and say probably a toss-up between Crash Bandicoot and Spyro ;) "YESSSS!!!!
i love those games
Definitely Mario by a wide amrgin. My teenage years belonged to Age of Empires, Halo and RollerCoaster Tycoon.
This is so true. I thought I was the only one who benefited from video games at age 3 but they seriously boosted my vocabulary. I started with Mario Allstars on the SNES I think and middle school onward belonged to Crash Bandicoot, Kirby, Zelda, Banjo Kazooie, and Mario Party." Mega Man and Zelda for me. Franchise? Hmm... can I just say games? I promise there will be few.
Mario Kart
Mega Man
Sim City on SNES
Final Fantasy VI
Rock and Roll Racing
I also played Capcoms Disney Games over and over again forever.
And when do we stop being kids? I was like...16 during my Mario Kart 64 and Goldeneye frenzy
Mario, since there are just so many Mario games.
I've played: Super Mario Bros. 1, 2 & 3, Super Mario World 1 & 2, Super Mario All-Stars, Super Mario Land, Super Mario 64, Dr.Mario, Super Mario Kart, Mario Kart 64, Super Paper Mario, Mario Paint, Mario is Missing, Mario Party and Super Smash Bros.
Seriously, what else could my number one be?
Runners up:
Doom
Command & Conquer
F-Zero
Street Fighter
Mega Man
The first thing that came to my head was Mario games but, when I stopped to think about this... I mean REALLY stopped to think about this... I discovered a deep, dark secret of my video gaming history... The franchise I spent the most time with when I was a kid was...
>.>
<.<
EA Sports' NHL Franchise...
Yeah Mario because Mario is almost in every good Nintendo game (especially the recent ones).
C&C and Battlefield are the runners up.
