Why did you join Giant Bomb?

I joined Giant Bomb because I'm always looking for a way to get info on games. And I already knew how the GB staff operates so here I am. What about you guys

No, but I just want a place with active forums to post in, and good game information is a plus.

It seems like an excellent community based gaming website. I love how everything, the games spaces, the users and the boards, all feel connected.

Because I like the Bombcast.  I never bothered to join Gamespot, so that's where I first heard them.

I loved the style as soon as I saw it.  Plus the staff seem to be committed to bringing things back to what we all care about...GAMES...not 50000 posts about sales figures of whatever console.

I admit I was banned at gamespot for very stupid reasons. I never used profanity or obscenities or never used name calling but yet in system wars i was banned for "intentionally trying to annoy others" whatever the hell that means.. But yea I wanted a place to hang my hat so to speak when it comes to the community and posting in gaming forums and this site is amazing so far and I really like Jeff's reviews and inputs

Been a fan of Jeff and Ryan for awhile so it was an easy transition to make. And after Vinny and Brad joined the podcast i became a fan of them too, four talented reviewers start up a gaming site how do you not join?

I joined because I wanted to see a bomb explode.  Technically, it did but I got a gaming website instead... not regreting it though.  The website is awesome!

Jeff and Ryan are two hellacious dudes, and I figured it'd be fun to support their vision.

A new place to post at, I was getting bored at where I was posting before. A new opportunity, the staff members, too.

The mods don't suck like at GS

Only because I got sick of my GS username, and thought it'd be nice to establish a different internet identity. The forums just aren't up to scratch yet, though. Seems to be slightly better than yesterday, but the quality of topics really needs to improve. Right now, it's exactly the same as GS OT (with some System Wars leakage), which are both places I avoid....

I've been following Giant Bomb for quite a long time, and I liked the idea of a new community and a new website to enjoy

Because my friends were joining.

Because I think Jeff is the best in the business, and I love the works of Ryan, Brad and Vinny too. Plus, I wanted a communal games site and those guys just happened to make one.

1. the bombcast is one of my favorite podcasts. awesome people and chemistry.

2. neogaf still hasn't activated my account, i've been waiting a year now...

I was bored and the site looked pretty cool.

I was drugged and beaten by Giant Bomb interns... and forced to register.

New forums and the hype.

New site, new people.  Older forums were just getting stale...hopefully this one won't.
I've only been to two or three sites that have been able to keep me a member for 4 or more years, and hopefully this will be one of them.

Ever since Jeff left Gamespot.. I've kept up with what he has been up to. Then when I found out he was creating this site with Vinny/Ryan/Brad I was 100% in!

Same Here. I was heartbroken after the 'incident' and followed Jeff Gerstmann Is Still Alive when that popped up. After that the blog was announced and eventually came to be. Finally the site has launched and the best in the business are back in action.

I need more forums to post on

I was a regular Gamespot user before Jeff quit working there. Then some time after, I just happened to read up on what he was up to. That's when I found a blog post by him where he said that he would start this page in the future. And here we are :)

I liked the podcast so I decided to join.

I liked the idea that there was this massive community driven game site where it seemed like the community ruled.

I stumbled upon the GiantBomb Blog, watched the videos and ended up staying.

I knew those videos would reel in people! XD

The guys who made this site are the reason why I was so active on GameSpot in the first place.  When they all started leaving it was pretty depressing because GameSpot just wasn't the same.  It's great to see reviews and editorials written by the same guys you've been following for a long time.

Not only it is a visually attractive site, but I think the UI is pretty easy and friendly.

I don't know about you guys, but Jeff and the crew were enough for me. The whole thing could have just been a whole 2girls1cup fan club and I would have signed up*.

*Not actually sure, just for arguments sake.

Primarily, I joined because of the gaming personalities.  I like everyone in the editorial staff a lot.  I feel that I can relate to them in gaming experience.  Consequently, I can trust their opinions because I can see where they are coming from.

I first heard about giant bomb a long time ago, but then I totally forgot about it. Then someone posted a thread at gamespot about this site, so I remembered and checked it out.
