SORRY FOLKS - NO MORE CODES. IF ANYBODY BEFORE MY FINAL POST DIDN'T RECEIVE THEIRS PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

MODS - FEEL FREE TO LOCK THIS THREAD

Hey folks,

Right, I have an absolute shed-load of XBLA codes for The Splattersand I have no idea what to do with them. I featured the game on GameSpot a few months back and the developers have just sent me like, ALL of the codes. If you've not heard of The Splatters it's a really neat physics puzzle game released earlier this year by three dudes in Israel. It's coming to Steam sometime next year I believe. It's also this week's Xbox Live Deal of the Week (400MSP, down from 800). I don't think it sold massively first time around, probably for the very reasons Patrick has highlighted recently.

Now I don't make a habit of doing promotional work for developers, but like a kid who found a bag of weed who doesn't have the resources to sell, I need people to take this stuff off my hands pronto. I'd just post a bunch of them here except it would be cool if folks who actually wanted to play it, got the codes. Also I'm bored tonight because all my XCOM dudes died on Iron-man and I don't want to look at my Xbox right now.

So if you're interested in winning a copy, reply with your favorite indie game released this year and I'll PM you a code ASAP.

Brad and Ryan's Quick Look (They realize how it's played around the 18 minute mark :P)

Official Launch Trailer

My coverage of The Splatters on GS (starts around 7min)

Cheers!

(I've never done a giveaway before - but the forum rules say it's cool. If any mods think any differently let me know, and apologies).

I actually played this in Nottingham nearly two years okay. It was great. My favourite indie game of the year has to be Fez. Obvious, but true. :(

FTL has got the most play from me. I never played The Oregon Trail, so it feels pretty new to me.

Love FTL. Have any of you managed to defeat the final ship? I can't make it through the bugger's shields.

Also, check your PMs.

Does Katawa Shoujo count as indie? If not, how 'bout Magical Diary?

I haven't played too many indie games this year, but I really loved Lone Survivor.

It handily conveyed it's world's maddening isolation, and looked very pretty doing it.

I'd love a code, game looks really fun.

I haven't played many indie games this year and while I'm pretty sure it wasn't this year I'm going to say Ben There, Dan That. It's a great point and click adventure game made by two dudes and it's simple and fun and awesome. I got both of their games in a bundle in the sale for 69p and I really liked it, enjoyed it and thought it was genuinely funny and well written.

@Video_Game_King:

Sure! There are no wrong answers. I just don't want some dude coming in and copy and pasting all the codes for his mates. You can say Resi 6 if you want.

Still got a few left. Also this has proved invaluable for reminding me about games I haven't played yet.

If any of the above haven't received their codes let me know.

I think I would go with Lone Survivor. Bought it in a Humble bundle with absolutely no expectations.

So weird I loved every minutes of it !

If not, I would choose Little Racers STREET, on Xbox Live Indie Game. Really professionnal looking, lots of content, and good gameplay on top of that.

I'm torn between the awesomeness of Fez's atmoshpere and setting, and the pure delight that was Mark of the Ninja's gameplay, please don't make me choose! (Does the latter , Klei entertainment, still count as indie even though microsoft published the game?)

Nice to see you on here Mr O'Dwyer. I enjoy your Bluffers Guide/Escape from Mount Stupid videos very much, even if you've run out of codes by now.

@Chops037: Thanks for the kind words man, appreciate it. I've been on GB since it launched - I just don't post on the forums that much. I read loads though. Check your PM, still a few left!

@FourWude: Ryan Davis literally said those exact words when I asked a question on On The Spot all those years ago. Sort of sad that I still remember that actually.

THATS IT FOLKS - NO MORE CODES. Thanks for posting!

IF ANYBODY BEFORE THIS POST DIDN'T RECEIVE THEIR CODE, LET ME KNOW.

Thans for the code dannyodwyer. The game looked interesting in the Quicklook, especially with the expert level replay videos they showed.
