"NES isn't unreliable unless you start blowing into cartridges and degrading their contacts. Keep your carts clean! The 72-pin connectors didn't wear out for a decade or two, and could easily be refurbished with a simple pin or needle!

When I went down to visit my parents for christmas, I found my Nintendo in a box. I poped it in christmas morning for shits and played some Batman and Blaster Master. Still works fine to this day and that thing is how old now? 19 years I think? yea, anyway I had my 360 for a year and a half before it craped out on me. SO, in theroy, no, they're no way alike at all.
I would say the 360 is more like a Saturn, except popular.
No. My original NES still works. Sure, you might have to blow into the open end of some cartridges before you play them, but that's not a big deal. Quality is the true mark of success.
I am currently feeling the full wrath of the Xbox's failiure rate, nearly 3 weeks without any gaming at all. The Playstation 3 doesn't seem like such a crazy idea now.
It's funny, I never had any problems with my NES and still use it to this day. But the freaking PSone...jesus, I went through five of those damn things.
