runs games faster and has them looking wildly better
supports both gamepads and KB+M
has better more steady internet which allows better multiplayer with dedicated servers and big player counts even in resource-hungry games like Battlefield 3
can run all the games ever released in the world (don't forget about emulation tools allowing you to play console games on the PC)
has less expensive games
has Steam with it's mindblowing sales
has MMOs and RTS games, something many people wish they could get into
has mods that could turn a game around 180 degrees, or just add endless diverse content to it for free
The reason it's not as popular is because it's an expensive crystal ball. but now that it's costing as much as any other platform (in this poll), i predict it's gonna be the top vote.
It doesn't even matter at that point, if it'll support all the games I want and all my friends will adopt it....might as well pick PC since I could use it for other things. Also, how much would it actually cost?
Gonna go with PC, but in this situation there is literally no difference between the consoles besides maybe online service and control scheme, and that means there is no reason to not pick PC. If you want your gamepad controls so bad you can plug them into a PC.
I picked PlayStation because I want a box to look nice when it is hanging out under my TV. Some of you PC guys forget that those things don't belong in living rooms.
PC takes it for me. If there are no differences in what can run the games and what each system costs respectively, then PC is the only choice. After playing Bad Company 2 for over a year at 30 fps, my mind is blown every time I see it running at a full 60 on the PC. I literally can't handle it.

it does actually.. you connect it to a huge monitor or a TV in your living room, place it by the TV (looking alot better than a dead black box, with its seductive blue-lit case and fancy parts rolling inside), you connect a gamepad to it, sit back in your couch and voila ! not my gaming position of choice, but it can be done exactly the way you do it with your console, except that it looks alot fancier and better than a block-like box

@Helimocopter: it's a block with fans and cool lights and fancy colorful parts inside (and perhaps water cooling pipes). also it has shapes and textures on the outside, in contrast to being a smooth black block!
