Your favoured games that were in development, but never released.

Stargate Alliance. I'm a geek and I so wanted that game to come out. But due to disagreements between the two companies that were working on it, it never reached release. I was SO angry and depressed when I heard it had been dropped from production! This game looked fucking awesome! :-(     (It still makes me sad now.)

Dungeon Keeper 3. I'll never get over that. 

The next gen Indian Jones game, I was so excited because I loved the first one, instead we got the shitty wii game.

Final Fight: Seven Sons - the game had amazing music from Ministry to Pitchsifter, and the art style was absolutely awesome. Unfortunately production was canceled, and instead we got Final Fight: Streetwise. I think Streetwise has it's upside, specifically the game feeling like a classic beat'em up, but there's other things that are really wrong with it.

Frame City Killer - I like the Hitman games and thought this looked like it could be cool, if done right. Still, not that dissapointed.

Also Lionhead's B.C. looked neat.

Doshin the Giant for Gamecube never came to the US. I thought it looked pretty radical.

I remember seeing a picture from an upcoming game called Dead Phoenix when I was 10, and it never came out.  It could have been cool, but I'll never know.

I'd have to say Outcast 2. Outcast was such a great game, but somehow overlooked by the main public. This was probably the cause for a lack of investors, forcing the developers to have no choice but to pull the plug... such a shame.

Half-Life 2: Episode 3...oh wait.

Team Fortress 2: Brotherhood Of Arms.

duke nukem forever. the game was going to be so cool.

I was really disappointed to learn that they canceled the next entries in the Call of Cthulhu series.

Capcom Fighting All-Stars.  That game looked like it had a lot of potential, but Capcom canned it and we got Capcom Fighting Evolution instead.

Didn't know there was a planned Firefly game, but if it was an MMO - we're probably all better off without it. My vote easily goes to Earthbound 64.

 
Huxley - the Korean developed cross platform first person shooter MMO that turned into vapourware.
 
Freedom Fighters 2 - development stopped and we got Kane and Lynch and Mini Ninjas (but also Giant Bomb I guess) instead.

I was not happy when they cancelled Earthbound 64.  Not happy at all.
