How do I know that anyone else actually exists? And if I'm not the only person, am I the only person who wonders if I'm the only person?

And if you're not the only person who wonders if he's the only person, are you the only person who wonders if anyone else wonders if he's the only person?

What if what we experience/sense/feel is what we consciously or subconsciously expect or want to happen? As in we were brought up to be assimilated into a specific type of reality which is now? Is it possible to break that barrier of what we expect? Or perhaps to EXIST is to PERCEIVE a CERTAIN WAY....
Everyone here pretty much has the idea that what is 'physical' is real, and what is 'in the mind' is not.
But if you think about it, we were brought up to be 'physical.' Yet, we govern ourselves, our purposes, our actions, through our minds. But is the mind, physical? Not at all. You can argue that our thoughts and actions are JUST neurons in the brain firing. But where does that intention to fire neurons come from? This consciousness that each and every human has. Surely, its not just a chaotic stream of firing neurons.
You can go into the idea of dreams- ARE they real? When you are experiencing that dream at that moment, it does feel real, right? Until you 'wake up' and come back to THIS plane of reality.
What I'm trying to say is, the invisible, the consciousiness, the mind, is as much as itself AREALITY in itself that works harmoniusly with the physical. Which is pretty fucking awesome and mind blowing!
I've lived with the thought that everyone else is robots for my whole life, and I've come to accept it.
I love it when someone jumps on a forum, making a thread, feeling 'deep, when philosophers have been asking these question in an intelligent manner for hundreds of years. Even thousands. But no, anon forum user has a breakthrough.
@HellBrendy: nicely worded. 'or is it just me.' while referring to solipsism because that's exactly what solipsism is. 'it IS just me.'
An intriguing philosophy, but sadly a lonely one to live by.
No one is real
