Indeed i don't remember being told that Role Playing a username is against any rule, i personally don't mind anyone doing it so long as i can actually understand what their saying and they stick within the other guidelines posted around the forums.
Honestly i see no issue with it, if you don't like people with usernames of popular fictional characters thats ok, i have no quams with that but...i do have to ask why you would have such issues with them?

Personally I don't see anything wrong with it. If I want to blow up a building in this forum, then I will blow up a building in the forum. And as far as Anime no longer being cool, you should take a look at today's world. It may no longer think that it is cool, but that is surely not what the rest of the world thinks. On top of that, I am intrigued at the fact that you were so bothered by the fact of people having character profiles. It pretty much shows me that you have no life and you couldn't think of anything else to say. Then again, that is just my analysis. Nothing to be taken...well...personally.
