Again that refers only to sexuality, not love. And even within sexuality, if people only did it the way they were 'supposed to', you would want to illegalise any form of sex other than the baby-making kind.
I personally don't see any problem with it, after all why shouldn't they have that right? the only thing stoping them is the church. It's not like they are harming anyone so I'd say I'm for it.

I have sex and yet I am not married. Sex =/= marriage. Your argument is against gay sex, not marriage.

Yes, but it was part of religious ceremony. Hence the ring symbolizing the ring of Saturn, marriage (as we know it) was initally a ceremony that was celebrated by worshippers of Saturnalia.
Your link, Rex, seems to be skewed in a way to credit christianity with tying together marriage as a religious ceremony, and that's just not accurate. You'd be suprised how much of the religion of Saturnalia still exists to this day; black robes worn by judges and graduates were a vestment of the followers of Saturn, for instance. Most of Christianity, as a matter of fact, is hobbled together from pre-existing religions and astronomical occurances, which, back in ancient times, were virtually inseperable.

Marriage at its roots is a religious institution, yes. But either we secularize it and make it available to everyone or do away with it completely. Otherwise all it really is is a vehicle fraught with religious hypocrisy and elitism.

Also, the discussion is about the LEGALITY of gay marriage, the CIVIL UNION. If your church, cult, sunday group, whatever it is, doesn't want to allow it they have their right, but they cannot interfere with the Civil Union. There is a HUGE difference and it stems from a VERY IMPORTANT thing: SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE. That's what guarantees everyone's religious freedom (to be a part of/create any religion or just stay out of any kind of religious group).
