I got nothin against Bad Romance. In fact, it is a pretty great, brainless pop song. The music video is interesting to say the least, as well. Should it be the most viewed video in the world? Probably not, but it is a fun song that deserves measured attention.

Its probably so popular since I watched it about 3 million times alone. Honestly, I couldnt stop watching that video once it first came out. With that said, I do agree that she is trying to be different just for the sake of being different. She still uses sex to sell, as EVERYONE meaning EVERYONE does nowadays. At least shes trying a bit harder than everyone else. And guess what, her songs are actually pretty good.

@hai2u: Lady Gaga says "no" to that in the Telephone video, though...but I was in your camp for a while. All the same, Charlie Bit My Finger is WAY less entertaining than the Bad Romance video, so I'll stand by GaGa on this one. Not to mention that Bad Romance is pretty sweet.

Lady Gaga is a talented, classically trained musician, who has proven time and time again (For anyone willing to pay attention) that she brings something valid, artistic, and new to the table. She's shown she can be a solid performer, a fantastic musician, great with her choreography, and a cultural juggernaut. She's today's Madonna, and if people can't accept her for what she is, I'm not sure I'm willing to listen to anything they say.

Well said. Agree completely. Everyone's entitled to dislike her music, and I can't say I listen to her on any sort of consistent basis, but when someone has genuine talent and appeal, they tend to become and STAY popular.
