Surprise, surprise!!! There was a reason why Billy Mays was so wired and loud as Hell!!!
Granted, the family is trying to cover the possibility of it up...but nonetheless, it puts a damper on his untimely death.
Billy Mays Used Cocaine?
See, here's the deal: everyone made this messiah-like thing out of Billy Mays after he died. Now that we know there is a possibility that he was coked, does it mean we'll still love him? If the family can prove that he was never on coke, then AWESOME! However, if he was on coke, it suddenly makes me care less about Billy Mays than I did before.
You gotta understand, though, that I really did think Billy Mays was pretty awesome. The guy was a great pitchman, and his show was really good as well. This would just be...I don't know...a little crushing to find out.
Then again, he didn't exactly beat up a hooker and then get beaten up by said hooker.
They should arrest him. Dead people should be able to get arrested if it's found out they did something illegal before they died.
That would be pretty great.
Whatever happened to morals in this country.
*walks up to a coroner* hey man heres some money give me the results so i can run this story.
or for that matter not releasing any information about someones death unless under the right circumstances which doesn't seem to be the case in america.
Um, not a big surprise. I would be more surprised if he didn't to be honest, I mean look at the field he was in. His job was to go and sell things by being loud and crazy on the brink of obnoxious, He had lots of money, knew lots of different people with lots of different personalities and problems. Not to mention he didn't have to worry about things like drug tests.
So bottom line, most people who have lots of money know lots of people, and don't have to worry about things such as drug tests. So naturally, most of them will become addicted to drugs.

... oh yeah, money is a pain... relieve that one and I get to move on to the next one. I need some relief.

"I think it's worth putting out there because if you were 50 years old and you hear of another 50 year old that seems perfectly healthy dying right out of nowhere, you get a little scared. Kids get scared for their parents as well.
When you find out he was on heavy drugs and that's why he died, you feel a little better.
" I always cut my cocaine with OxyClean. "Fuckin' A man, cut it up on a shamwow and you're good to go!!!! BUZZ CITY MAN!!!!
I read an article on this on AP and it said the Coke wasn't what killed him....The heart attack was the primary cause of death, but the coke was only contributory. He wasn't under the influence when he died either.
What the fuck does it matter if he did coke? Does that make him a bad guy all of a sudden? Who fucking cares. Billy Mays = legend.
See, all I did was pose a question about something that shocked me. Billy Mays really did seem like a pretty regular Joe. I know that my initial comment may not have been very...subtle...but I'm not a subtle dood. I think it needs to be pointed out that cocaine was only labeled as a CONTRIBUTING FACTOR and was not the ACTUAL cause of death. He still had a very serious illness, and many people can come to a point in their life when something like cocaine may ease some of the pain, numb it, or whatever. It definitely sucks that Billy's death came so early, especially before he was about to have a serious surgery that would've helped him.
Also, coke is bad...so don't do it.
" Money doesn't buy happiness. Sometimes, what drives people... is what destroys them, be that as it may. "The only people that I've ever heard say 'money doesn't buy happiness' are poor people. Maybe not dirt poor, but I sure haven't heard a millionaire say it.
" @Claude said:Maybe that's because poor people don't have money, and they have found that they can find happiness without...money? I mean, it seems logical. It's not like the saying exists for no reason whatsoever." Money doesn't buy happiness. Sometimes, what drives people... is what destroys them, be that as it may. I'm surprised this never occurred to anyone before. It doesn't change my opinion of him though, he was great!
" @Alex_Murphy said:I don't know about that. I mean you can have a good life without legs, but that doesn't necessarily mean you'd be better off without legs. And just because it's a saying doesn't really add much creditably to it. Is 'once you go black, you never go back' a true statement just because it's been repeated a bunch of times? The only people that I've ever heard say 'money doesn't buy happiness' are poor people."Maybe that's because poor people don't have money, and they have found that they can find happiness without...money?
