Can you help me find out what this horror film was?

I'm trying to figure this out for years now. It something I watched on TV in the mid 70s early 80s when I was a kid and it gave me nightmares for a very long time...
I watched it on a black and white TV, but maybe the original was in color. I'm not even sure if it was a movie or a TV episode from a show like the Twilight Zone or similar.

The scene I remember: a man and a woman are in a room with brick walls. They hit the wall and there are dead bodies in it. They escape, and a man chase them with an axe to the woods.

Hmmm...is it an episode from either Night Gallery or The Sixth Sense? Those are two horror/thriller/scifi shows from the 70s. There is one episode that is a twist on Edgar Allen Poe's Cask of Amontillado. Maybe it's that?

It's definitely not "Don't go in the Woods". I remember that fairly well and it doesn't sound like what you are describing. DGITW is a run of the mill camping teens getting murdered by a stranger movie.
