I thought bringing up this wonderful piece of anime localization's past would be relevant in this thread.

I actually keep meaning to re-watch Zoids Chaotic Century to see if I like it as much now as I did then. I probably won't, but I still want to see if it's any good or if I just had bad taste.

Fuck Cartoon Network for moving this show to a 6 AM weekday timeslot right before airing the last two episodes - and restarting the whole goddamn thing. THE. WHOLE. GODDAMN. THING. I hated that almost as much as I hated them moving Outlaw Star to late-night Adult Swim.

Zoids have cool designs. Probably some of the best looking robot dogs out there.

Look at it this way - You could have followed Dan's lead and got into Amiibo collecting. But nope, you followed Austin and got into anime figure building.

I actually built one of those scorpion Zoids when I was younger. Not sure why I never pursued more of them.

I had all of New Century Zero playing in the background while I was putting this together. It's pretty bad tbh. Might be better to let sleeping memories stay asleep.

@enigma777: I actually remember not liking New Century as a kid, even though that was the one that everyone seemed to remember. That one was about some kind of tournament, Chaotic Century was mostly about a war. If I'm remembering correctly, this was sixth grade for me.

Zoids Assault and Zoids Battle Legends

Both are the hottest of hot garbage. You'd think a good game about awesome robot tigers fighting awesome robot dinosaurs would pretty much make itself, but apparently not.

There are Zoids models that move*.

*They don't necessarily move WELL, but they MOVE.

Good build choice there. I had a bunch of the cheap model's back in the day with motorized bodies. My own model wishlist is something like this.

1. MG Turn-A Gundam

2. Some sort of Qubeley. Too many to decide. Maybe all of them.

3. Blade Liger

4. Any Char suit. Sazabi and Hyaku-Shiki taking top spots.

5. Geno Breaker

When I was a kid, I spent months in Hong Kong. I knew someone who had a Famicom, but I had no video games of my own. What I did have? Little ZOIDS models that came with sticks of super soft apple flavored gum. It was some kinda bull loaded up with canons and missile pods.
