I was thinking about getting one. I want one that wraps around and down my entire left arm. I'm not too sure what it'll be yet, but I won't be getting it for a long time so meh.
I honestly think having only one tattoo is kind of stupid. If you're going to do it, go all the way man, ink up that entire arm.

This. Once you bloody your tooth, you'll want more. I started off with some runes on my right upper arm, I ended up building on it, getting my left done, and having the 40k imperial aquila done on my upper back.
To think of: Check whatever skin creams they recommend you if/when you get it done, make sure they don't contain chlorine - it can annoy the fuck out of your skin and make you dry out, and in the end give you a lot of trouble when it comes to your tattoo.
Also, make sure you can stand for whatever you tattoo for the rest of your life. Foreign languages are not recommended - sorry all you Kanji nutters out there.
Thought about but never got any. Most people that I know in high school are pretty shocked I never got any. But yeah, as usual get something you actually want and will at least tolerate years down the road. My close friend got an eagle for his first tat, yes, a fucking eagle. He hated it but now he doesn't really care about it.
hell yeah Got my first tat like 3 months ago, its best if it has meaning to you, and you think its cool. Also really take your time and think about it. Like i wanted a cross over my heart, i wanted it for a long time and picked a cool design. I keep getting compliments from everyone who see's it .
Advice I can give you is to be very sure of it. Write down ideas, draw it out, look up pictures, think about it and wait a year. If you have the same urge in a year and you've picked out a design, go for it.
Nope. If there was something I thought was cool enough, or was important enough to want it tattooed on my body for the rest of my life, I'd do it in a second. So far though, nothing's come up.
I have six all video game related, the symbols for the scrab and paramite from oddworld on on each upper shoulder, the Necrum emblem on my back, re-imagined heartless and nobody emblems on my forearms and the skull from Zack and Wiki surrounded by flames on the back of my right hand. I don't regret any of my ink I've never had it affect my ability to find work nor any social interactions. I will admit though I'm mostly burnt out on getting tattooed, though I have been thinking of getting a calf band of something written in umbra witch from Bayonneta recently.

I don't play Gears anymore, but I put 50+days into Gears 1, 50+ days into Gears 2 and roughly 10+ days into Gears 3. I know it's sad, but it was a big hobby of mine and something I'll probably remember playing for the rest of my life.
I don't have one. I think about getting one from time to time, but it always comes down to the fact that I'd rather spend that money elsewhere (saving up for a new videocard, an ipad, a whole new cache of workout supplements, etc). Tattoos ain't cheap. The good ones aren't, at any rate.
Do not impulsively get one. Get one that has a meaning to you. As others have said wait at least 6 months before you get it, if you have the idea think about it for 6 months then do it. Meet with multiple artists or find an artists who's portfolio is aimed towards what you want. DO NOT get Flash work (stuff from the board or from books), try to find an artist who will NOT do the same thing twice and doesn't do Flash.
Tattoos are expensive if done well. Mine was 9 hours at $125 an hour. Plus tip. Mine was broken down into 4 sessions at anywhere from 1-3 hours each. I however got full color and it covers most of my lower left leg.

With that mindset I should have a WoW, Diablo 2 and Counter-Strike tattoo... as I had over a YEAR of played WoW time...and since they started recorded steam data 400 CS:S hours, 150 CS1.6 and i've been playing them since the late 90s....
The only "game" related tattoo I would of considered was from Magic The Gathering, probably a Serra Angel or something iconic.

I don't want anything game related on my body forever. However the mindset of how many hours or days you invest in something shouldn't be a factor in a tattoo.
I have a few tattoos, and plan on getting a lot more. I don't regret any of them, but if you're gonna do it, be sure on what you want. I've seen people have an idea get it done then a few days later wish they hadn't done it. Just make sure you really think it over, and make sure your 100% certain you want it. And make sure to check out the place you get it done before hand, too many bad tattoo parlours out there.
