Does anybody still play Counter-Strike 1.6?

i recently downloaded it and nobodey has any more servers open at all. I was wondering if it was just the version that i downloaded or just that nobodey plays it anymore.

im pretty sure there should be tons of people playing it... idk i dont actually have it. but i know my friend still sinks in about 6 hours of CS:S ever 2ish weeks..

maybe play around with the server filters. buy counter strike source, i know that is popular still. maybe it depends on when your playing it. i don't know i don't have the game but i do play counter strike source.

I was wondering if this was a bug or something. I used to play it a ton, booted it up fairly recently, and discovered an empty server list. It's strange.

No, I used to play a ton of c.s source instead. Maybe you should move on to that game even if the recoil is annoying. Then again do what you want.
