I'm fairly convinced I'd be a black belt rocket scientist doctor if I got achievements for studying so many hours or training. Anyone else agree?
Ever wish real life had achievements?
" I'm fairly convinced I'd be a black belt rocket scientist doctor if I got achievements for studying so many hours or training. Anyone else agree? "you get certificates and qualifications for those things which is more satisfying then anything you can get from a videogame icon popping up and giving you useless points.

Hahaha!! Amazing.. but true :(
I think being that in and of itself is an achievement. If being that kind of person isn't enough motivation, I doubt a few "points" would make it any better..." Quit your bitching. Achievements in video games are only easy because it is suppose to be for fun, and maybe to encourage you to play the game more, or play it differently. "12 years of grinding" is no excuse for you not being everything you want to be." @nail1080 said:

You guys realize that the reason points work is because they are placed at reliable intervals. If you gave out an achievement for studying for a certain amount of time every night that's much more tangible then getting one after years of doing. There's also the finite nature of achievements, you can work at getting them all. There is science behind this, achievements inhibit the release of dopamine which makes you happy. It's why MW2 multiplayer is so addicting. The key is to space them out just right, and real life does a terrible job, someone should have done more QA on it.
I am sorry that 'the game' Life is not good enough to satisfy you. I am sorry that it is too slow and tedious for you. Perhaps you would prefer it if "life" lasted only 5 hours instead of X years, and you could get through it faster. And that sleep mechanic is so terrible, isn't it? Get rid of that. Who needs sleep, right? And it takes so much effort to work out and eat healthy. Come on, eating chips and cookies should make you muscular, right?" " @yakityyakblah said:Dude I'm being tongue in cheek here, lighten up. I start university next year, I'm not making excuses just making an observation that it would be easier to motivate myself if I heard bleep bloop every ten pages I wrote or something. It's not even hard to just do on your own, it's just setting smaller goals for yourself in pursuit of big ones, I was making a point in a light hearted manner, have a sense of humor for god's sake.I think being that in and of itself is an achievement. I think the best achievement is the one where you go to the cinema and shout "first". Also I would totally S rank sleeping.
Alright then... I thought you were serious. Sorry." @Ariketh said:

Because it would be really hard to get a job when you have the 'kill 5 guys with 1 grenade' achievement. And it might get kind of awkward explaining to your wife why you have 'rape a hooker and burn the body'.
" Kind of like these? "That video was amazing.
