I've noticed recently Facebook is everywhere! TV ads, radio etc. it's pretty much all over. It's particularily exploded on the internet. Virtually everything on the internet can be "liked" via facebook. Some sites don't even have users anymore and simply require you to log in via Facebook. I'm not really keen to this and I don't really like Facebook. It's kind of making me sick... what do you guys think?
Facebook taking over the internet.
Hm, I must gather an army of Friendsters so that we can take back the internet!
We got a thing called Hyves here, basically the dutch version of Facebook, now that thing is bloody everywhere!
Oh yeah, it's definitely a social phenomenon. I don't think Facebook is a bad site in itself although I do throw up in my mouth a little every time a politician or a TV personality mentions it in an attempt to seem trendy. I think the only real problem could be one company on the internet amassing too much power and misusing it but I don't think Facebook really has the potential to do such a thing.
I don't know, I think Facebook will fade in popularity. It's big right now, but there will always be new social networks for people to obsess over. At this point I totally check my Twitter more than my Facebook. I think that they are putting Facebook everywhere to prolong its popularity, but people will lose interest eventually.
The day they let 'Liking pages' and 'joining groups' appear on news feed was the day facebook went to the dogs.
blahhh i like facebook. there's nothing wrong with it.
heres my page: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1471980054
anyone is free to add me
I deleted my Facebook when i graduated college. No real need for it now, seeing i don't care what my High school friends, who i haven't seen in 5 years, are doing.

The only reason it bothers me is because it's making people more technologically retarded. People don't even know how to use a URL bar and just enter 'facebook' and click the first link. Remember that thing a few years ago where there was that blog about facebook logins that so many people clicked, thinking it was just facebook, and were bitching because they wanted the old facebook back?
The other thing is, well, I realize that there is no such thing as anonymity on the internet. Everything can be traced around. And Facebook keeping track of everything I've ever done and sharing it so that people can find it easier in one place is just a bit of a bother and makes that one more step easier. Hack a facebook, you've got everything you need about that person (which is why my Facebook is very bare-bones)
I prefer being a 'Google Ghost'. If you look up my real name, the only record you will find of me on the internet is a news report where I was a passenger in an accident where a car drifted across the center lane and slammed into us.
If you don't know me, you don't need to know me. If you do know me, you know how to get in touch with me. And I sure as hell don't want my personal information floating around in cyberspace for anyone to pick apart and sell to advertising agencies.
Whatever you put on the net never disappears.
" ok for real whats facebook and why should i care is like for pics? "it's a website that people make an account on. they upload images of themselfs and they say what they are currently doing. they are usually like got drunk, upload like 20 different pictures of themselves at the bar.
i think it is annoying. i have noticed that every thing has a facebook. on the radio it's an add and says check us out at facebook.com. it's nothing to great.
