Gamespot 2.

DUDE!  It is NOT Gamespot 2.0 anything!  This is GIANTBOMB! BOOOM! 

Gamespot has turned sour for me, it has the usual "jade Raymond" type to it (watch on the spot to understand)

And No offence to thor but the HOtspot is terrible nowadays.  I hope your wrong about gamespot 2

Here is chilled and relaxing where as over at GS the mods are on swear word/fanboy patrol.I like GB alot more.

I really don't see how Giant Bomb is anything like GameSpot. The only similarity is the editorial staff. And really doubt, they want their site to be regarded as GameSpot 2.

It still feels largely alien to me. :P

This site, while still about games, appears to be going in a completely different direction than GS.
When it comes to the members however, it seems most coming are old Gamespotters.

Spiritually maybe, but technically Giant Bomb looks to be something new and fresh. Does it feel like it? Well that's a different story.

I think that this is the exact opposite of Gamespot....And i hope it stays that way

I like Giant Bomb a lot more than Gamespot for one reason - Luchadeer.

As for now this is like a new version that has failed so far, but I think itll get better, for now Im sticking to mostly using Gamespot.

That can't be. GiantBomb is way better than GS. They are just jealous that we have Jeff. 

Seriously, this site is great!  Gamespot influenced this site simply because its made up of people who poured their blood, sweat and tears into GS only to see it fall.  I'm hoping that from what i've seen so far this site is going to stay great for a long, long time. I'm thinking everyone involved learned a lot from gamespot and will not repeat it's mistakes!

I wouldn't call it gamespot 2.0, because of the all the different features they have. Now with the staff...... Most of the best from gamespot is here. Now I say most because this site is great, but would be superb if it also had Brian Ekberg and Ryan Mcdonald 

You can't really compare the two, they both may have forums and such, but Giant Bomb is much more community orientated.

Well if it is, it's GS's better half.

There are better editors here and less idiots like the ones you see in System Wars in GS in these forums.

This is more of a revival than a revision
I wouldn't call it GS 2 considering what the GS name meant. A family friendly mainstream gaming site.
Giant Bomb is definitely looking more into playing it straight than making it big

I'll still hit up gamespot OT every once in awhile, but this site is good.

I wouldn't really call this Gamespot 2.0 or any derivative of it. Gamespot is Gamespot, and GiantBomb is GiantBomb. They are two different sites made to inform and draw a community of gamers. Although, I will admit this site is a lot more relaxed and has a better overall atmosphere. I hope it stays this way.

This site is like any other site, IGN, 1UP, Gamespot, Kotaku (not so much this one), etc...Just because many of people came from Gamespot doesn't mean it should be called Gamespot 2.0. There are way to many threads about this, and honestly it is getting rather annoying. Hopefully this will stop in the coming weeks.

So Giant Bomb is a Harder Faster More Challenging GameSpot.

It has a lot of GS members, I think. Other than that, everything else seems different.

I hope that Giant Bomb isnt a GS2.. its a new site, yeah most of us are from there and the Jeff thing comes over to here, but he has mostly forgotten it. Can't we? I like the promise of a new site, and the promise of a better tomorrow. :)

I find that this site is way better than GS and once I learn how it works, I will like the site even more.

I wouldn't go as far as calling it gamespot 2. Yeah it has the 4 people from GS that left but the layout is much different. There are no levels and no emblems. Its similar but not the same.

I dont think it is like Gamespot, there are no YLYL threads yet.

I just want sigs and something similar to unions, then call it GS 2.

Over the years, I have really appreciated the reviews from both Ryan and Jeff! I am glad they teamed up and have created this incredible site! I really hope a lot of gamespor users take advantage of the greatness of this site.
