Well, I'm looking for some places to check out in NYC today. Not the usual tourist traps though, I've seen all that before. Is there any gaming or nerdy related place's you could think of? I'll check back in a few to see what you guys have in mind! You can check my NYC Blog and read about some of the little places were going to check out while were there. I was thinking of going to The Barcade if I can talk my friends in to checking it out. Its probably not likely though, as cool as it sounds, I think its really retro arcade games, and I'm not much of a drinker to start with.
Going to NYC in about an hour: Any Suggestions?
Well i ve heard wonderful things about a place called BRONX, they say that if you go there in the middle of the night
black faris will come to you and give you money :D
"Hit up the Carnegie Deli on Seventh Ave in NYC. It is legendary. Get a $20 sandwich that can feed an entire starving village in Africa and gorge yourself on it."haha, feeding an entire starving village in Africa doesn't sound like a huge challenge to me. ;)
I might be able to check it out though.
But for now I'm off! Later GB!

If you like Apple, then you should check out their flagship store on Fifth Avenue:

If not, then I don't know anyone other places that are geek related to go to. It's sad because I was born in Manhattan and used to live there. I guess moving to New Jersey and then moving away from there for about 5 years takes away your memory. :(
"This was the only thing I could think ofwe had already planned on going there, and it was awesome. There was a crap load of stuff there, not to mention SC4 4 days before release. We went to a few other places too that were pretty cool. Toy Tokyo was cool, lots of action figures and random Items like a unopened can of Star Wars Pepsi. We went to this other place that sadly didn't allow pictures to be taken, but did have a Dick Phone. Probably the greatest thing ever. That place actually had a lot of really high priced collectors stuff. They had crazy old TV Guides still in the plastic. There was a Star Trek section where the cheapest thing was a watch for $35 still in its case. They had a few wall sections dedicated to vintage playboys still in the plastic. Looked like it was run by a couple of hippies.

If you're of age I recommend Rudys on 44th and 9th Ave in Manhattan.
Total Dive Bar. Best place in the city for drinks, plus free hot dogs.
I would also recommend checking out a baseball game. Either Mets, Yanks or Brooklyn Cyclones - where you can also check out Coney Island and kill two birds with one stone.
