i used to work at a pet store. they sold feeder mice there, among lots of other feeder animals, to feed to snakes and lizards (even sold small rabbits LOL and one time a baby PIG- yeah i could totally get that store shut down after i was fired). and there were these huge containers and once a week they'd get deliveries of hundreds of mice. sometime when i was bored, i'd look at all the mice running around, chewing paper towel rolls, running around in tubes, and running around in the wheels. and because their lives were meaningless, i couldn't help but fuck with them from time to time. so every now and then when i would see one running in a wheel, i'd help him out by spinning the wheel for it, really really fucking fast! HAHA so fast it looked like a blur and they go flying out across room!
and then there were the days where'd you get these cat sized rats people would buy for their big ass, usually illegal, snakes. and some of the customers wanted them dead. so behind closed doors, i'd have to grab the rat by its tail, and SPIKE IT LIKE A FOOTBALL!!! BAM!!! DEAD!!!! yes. i would occasional feel bad about it. but come on now, at least it was instant death. most humane way possible. and boy is it fun watching them get eaten! sometimes we'd throw like one or two pinkies in one of the saltwater tanks just for kicks when we we're bored. we'd usually give them feeder fish like some goldfish, but those big trigger fish tear the shit of of baby mice. and theyre awesome lookin fish so its just fun to watch em go.

yeah they do that in zoos whenever people walk up to their area where they've got their hole tunnel system set up, its infinitely cute and funny watching do that standing gaurd of the tunnel entrances. actually fancinating, they work very hard on those tunnels all taking turns digging and watching gaurd, they even gaurd false entrances to fool intruding predators. oh its it ventilated too, its always cool down there.
