And at what quality do you play at? Mostly music/movies, etc.?
Does it have enough space for you to enjoy what you're listening to/watching?
What is it? iPod, Creative, Zune, etc.
I personally have a Creative Vision M. 30gb's, plays all sorts of file types, but I think I'm going to need some more space here pretty soon . . .
How many gb's is your Portable Music Player (roughly)? [Poll]
iPhone 3GS, 16GB. Working well, not perfect by any means, mostly just 320kbps MP3s and some podcasts. I've only got 12 GB of music, so it does the trick for now. REALLY interested to see how Windows Pone 7 Series pans out in the next year. Gotta know my options when upgrade time rolls around.
Cowon D2, voted by Anything But iPod as one of the best sounding MP3 players (that's why I got it). Handles FLAC, even though I don't use FLAC. I think it was one of the first to do so (it was released in 2008). It's a little weird, but it's definitely one of the best MP3 players out there, probably to this day. And it's inexpensive now. In any case, I usually just run with 192 ~ 224 kbp/s for music. And I wish all podcasts ran at 64 kbp/s. Any individuals that encode their podcast over 64 kbp/s are jerks. It's just speech, people! That crap could run at 32 kbp/s for all I care.
I have the 64 GB Sony Walkman NWZ-1060. I'm still debating whether or not it was a good purchase, it being a $400 mp3 player, but it sounds phenomenal, and I like the integrated noise cancelling feature, since my dedicated noise canceling headphones can be kind of clunky at any speed higher than a walk.
I have a iPod Classic which I believe has 120 GB of memory on there. Around 40GB are used, 34 for music and the rest split between pictures and video. I'm kinda sick of the Apple lifestyle though, and I'm waiting for a Zune HD that holds more than 100GB of memory before I make the jump.
EDIT: Now that I think of it, I could go for a Zune HD that has at least 64 GB. Maybe a 2nd Generation HD is coming soon?
30 GB iPod from about four years ago. It's held up well, except for the fact that the backlight is starting to die slowly. Still plays music fine.
30GB iPod classic, had it for 4 years and sleep with it every night. Still works like a charm. I use it for music and the Bombcast for the most part.
32GB Zune HD. It's all music - 320/v0 mp3s mostly. I still have an 80GB Zune too, but I don't use it since I only ever carry the HD around. I like the HD better than the 80GB for a lot of reasons, but it doesn't hold everything I'd like it to. I have to delete an album every time I want to add one now to make room.
I don't know how you guys still have old iPods working. With mine either the battery or the hard drive crapped out after a year or so. (Full disclosure: I had them all in high school and was a bit of a spaz so it's possibly my fault.)
80GB iPod Classic. Used for music and podcasts. Nearly full. I bought it just one week before Apple announced they'll be canning it in favour of only having the 120GB, at the same price point.
I misread the title. I thought you were asking how many Giant Bombcasts were on your portable music player. To which I would've replied all of them.
I have a 32 gigabyte first generation iPod touch... Filled with bombcasts.
I am the proud owner of a Zune 80, and damn it's still not enough. I really want a Zune HD but come on, I'm already nearly filling an 80 GB. I'll wait for a capacity increased version.
" (since I threw out out of frustration...long story) "This is what happened to my last phone.
Here's a weird thing I just found: apparently, they did get more reliable after the Video. Perhaps it was shoddy manufacturing.
... Or, we're all unlucky. Who knows!
I, uh... I have never owned, used, or even touched an MP3 player. Last portable music player I had was a CD player that I bought back in... '05? I think?
80 GB iPod Classic, high quality AAC files, don't really use it much for video, but I've got a couple of music videos in MP4. It has enough space for all my music and will probably do for a little while since I don't pirate and I can't afford to buy many CDs at the moment (vast majority of my spare cash goes on games anyway)
" why do you need to know this? "I don't need to know this. I'm just curious. I'm not some lackey who's going about trying to get everybody's info for corporate use.
I just had to go through and delete a couple gigs of music off my player, and was wondering if there were any others who shared my pain. I'm just a poor lonely individual with only the internet to call his friend . . .
