How much money do the mods here make?

Topic. Just wondering actually.

dude giantbomb pays me soooooooooooo much hahaha. I can retire and just mod the forums for the rest of my life.

I mean for modding. Not their other jobs.

Is it decent though? I mean how often do you guys have to be on these forums reading posts?

To answer your question : they don't get paid at all.  Basically put, "By the community for the community".

For people who have modding as a day job, for example "community manager" Alex Navarro at Harmonix, you do get paid yes.  But I think most sites will have the majority of moderators being old and experienced users supervised by a handful of staffers from the actual website.

Also, I think it's appropriate to note, that I as well, am similarly payed to post on GiantBomb.

Yeah, it covers my college tuition and I know I'd have my Master's paid for if I quit today. It's a great living.
