" @Little_Socrates said:I will agree that if there's one thing they didn't do much of, it was the blues. They were always more attracted to motown anyways...I mean, "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" has some blues to it (I don't just mean Clapton's solos, either) but they certainly preferred The Shirelles and Smokey Robinson to Buddy Guy or B.B. King in their early days, and then later Bob Dylan and The Beach Boys to Taj Mahal and, well, Eric Clapton." I'm a ridiculous Beatles fan, to the point where I feel that anyone who doesn't like The Beatles has only heard their most popular stuff and has missed out on their deeper material. Yes, Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds has survived better than A Day In The Life in the public's consciousness (probably thanks to its appearance in Yellow Submarine,) but ADITL is a WAY better song. "That would be true If I didn't used to wake up every sunday to Breakfast with The Beatles. It was a show that would air on a talk radio station that I used to fall asleep to. I just really think they are overrated. They play alright music but, then again, I am a huge blues fan so that might have something to do with it. "
Is anyone actually going to buy Beatles music on iTunes?
" @GlenTennis said:You cannot buy Kid Rock's stuff on iTunes. You can buy stuff that he has on compilation CD's, but you cannot access his catalog. He has come out and said something along the lines of "I don't give a shit, just pirate my music and come hear me live."" "The most authentic man in Rock 'n Roll." "You mean Kid Rock? I just checked, they have Kid Rock on there. I think you meant Kid Rock, I've heard nobody's more authentic than him. I already have just about all the Beatles' stuff on CD, but I think I might see if they have Day Tripper. "
" What is this "buying music" thing you speak of? "The thing stupid people do i hear.
Apple acquired rights from Apple.
No I won't I already have everything from Hard Day's Night to Let it Be on my Ipod. I also have all the kick ass rare shit from the Beatles Anthology CD thing so I am set.
1. Jelous
2. Don't know any better
3. Love Justin Beiber
4. Are Rolling Stones / Bob Dylan Fans
Anyhoo, I'm sure a lot of people will buy this virtual shit off Apple instead of just buying the whole record like a smarty person.
"But you're stupid, I only want the greatest hits. I'll gladly shell out .99 cents for ONE DIGITAL SONG"
Then buy a stupid greatest hits album. Shit. I'm sure you can find one for less than 5 dollars.
Enjoy your mp4 files.
Hey, am I allowed to really love The Beatles AND The Rolling Stones (well, early/mid period Stones anyway) AND Bob Dylan?
Is there something wrong with me (actually, there probably is, I seem to be one of the only people who actally liked Bobby Zims Christmas album - I've never heard some of those songs have such menace).
I don't like the Beatles at all. Even if I did, I would buy it in CD form and rip it in lossless instead of some bullshit 128 kbps or whatever iTunes store songs are in nowadays. If I bought music.
Beatles are a good band, great even. want to say they are the best sure, OK. whatever floats your boat.
only thing that exasperates me is people bothering to keep commenting on it. let it go.
its on itunes, lets all nod our heads once in agreement of this fact and forget about it.
As a person in a local band with music on Itunes mind you, I wish people still paid for music....sigh...
No I will not buy the Beatles on Itunes, I already have their stuff. I like the Beatles plenty fine but I think they get their asses kissed a little too much. Yeah their good. We get it. Do they really require apple marketing to say their release on Itunes will change the world? I guess ol' Stevie Jobs and Apple are happy to finally get this one out of the way.
No, I have most of their stuff on vinyl and I find it sounds great. Nothing better than throwing the white album on the record player on a sunday morning.
nope! never use itunes than to sync my iphone. if i want to buy music it's from the cheaper, DRM free Amazon MP3 store
Gonna have to go and see if I have any money left on my iTunes account. If so, then yes!
e: holy shit songs went up by like 30 fucking cents.
If you never pay for music you're either an arsehole or you have a really narrow/terrible taste in music.
If you only listen to huge artists then fine, I guess they don't need your money, but loads of artists on smaller labels (even ones touring all of the time) really need the extra cash from CD/download sales.
i think im a little on the young side to even care about the beatles. that and i dont use Itunes. Im a Zune guy.
