It's pretty crazy, but these urchins live under Vegas in drain tunnels and risk getting drowned in a big rain storm.  I can't thing of a dicier way to gamble than that - Pun intended, I guess.  It is estimated the population of the underground community could be as many as 700. As well as credit-hustling, they earn their money off the wildly excessive city above by begging and "dumpster diving" - raiding bins and skips.

That is a pretty dangerous place to live. Thankfully it doesn't rain there often and they'll probably have plenty of warning when it does.

Obviously you don't need me to tell you that it must be horrible to live in such a state. It's very ironic though, they live under a city that revolves around money. Interesting stuff, thanks.

Because they are homeless and it's a dry place where they can stretch their legs.

Yeah, probably gamblers or hobos down on their "luck", or maybe drug addicts.

I agree, you're not likely to find people living underneath the Las Vegas strip anywhere else.

Why would you wish that? They aren't doing anyone any harm.

Pretty insane. Was there an article or vid somewhere that inspired this thread? BTW anyone who finds this interesting should check out the film Dark Days, which is about homeless living in and under subway tunnels in NYC.

Sorry I meant I hope they all get to have a wash in a flood, as a flood would provide enough water to do so.

I'm disappointed in the lack of an old limping mut.
Also, how risky is it to live in a drain tunnel in the middle of the desert, really?

Seems like some Fallout thing, plus those pictures look shooped, especially the third one.

it is very interesting thing to do. it must be cool for like a week to do that. go through machines finding change then buying some food with it.

i was just thinking they could get a huge extension cord to a place down there they could play some ps2 or some cheap video game system.
