So I got a pass for me and a friend to go see the special advance screening of My Soul To Take in 3D tomorrow night. I super excited and all. But I'm not "old enough" to see the movie. Since the movies rated R and i'm only 16. I was wondering if I'll still might be able to get in since I have this special pass. Or if I'll still get turned down since I'm a bit too young.

Say you'll sue them if not. They let you enter an R rated contest.

Edit: If it was a contest :(

@foggel: Perhaps I'll take it to court. But I'm just wondering that if I already have the ticket. Will I be able to go in since they wont let kids buy tickets for movies they aren't old enough to see.

Most places don't actually check if you're over 18.

Also if it's anything like around here, you could just have a parent drop by to get you in.

@DanielJW: Well. If that's the case I might as well go with my mom to see it. Since it's good for two people.

I can't imagine they'll actually check, but maybe I'm just never exposed to theaters that care. As long as you don't look 10 or something.

Wow, it didn't occur to me until this thread that that movie was rated R. I am slightly more interested now...

If you already have the ticket I'm sure they won't check your ID. Just don't look nervous and it won't even occur to them.

Do people at movies really care? The most that I've seen is just "Oh hey, this movie's rated R, just so you know" kinda thing, when it's a parent with a child.
